The blue pearl also came in 2 versions. One with straw eyes, one with blue eyes.

My mother used to own a gift shop and she would take me to the gift shows. I always picked up one of your brochures when I saw them. Then after I moved away from home, I found a store in the city that carried your line and would go in every time I had a chance. Then I started collecting them. But the one piece that just left me speechless when I saw it at the gift show for the first time was the Ruby Oriental Sun Dragon. I so nagged my mom to order your stuff. She did carry some of your pieces for a while but our town was pretty small and catered to mostly the tourist crowd, who expected more Beanie Babies and such.

And I would love a cub to go with my mommy bear!!

Nam, I just want to say that you’ve made this forum a wonderful place to visit for the last 5 years and I will always have the utmost respect for how you moded this forum. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t have stuck around all these years if you hadn’t been here to dispense your quirky, humorous, rational, thoughtful, fair, common sense, and high expectation responses to all the difficult and not so difficult threads. I also appreciated the fact you were so approachable. I’m not trying to guilt you into staying; change is hard, and you have to do what’s best for you and I’m assuming this is a good decision for you. But I would have been regretful if before you left I hadn’t expressed my admiration and appreciation for your contributions to this forum and I think you did an excellent job. =) I don’t know how the next mod will ever be able to live up to you. I feel sorry for them already knowing they have some pretty big shoes to fill =P

            Ditto!! Hugs 🙁

Melody posted that they will be production so everyone will be able to get one sooner or later. Thank goodness.

I’m in Toronto, and Dragonmedley is in Brampton. 🙂

But this wouldn’t be fair to people that don’t have Paypal or people that can’t send instant payments. My paypal account got hacked a couple of months ago, and it’s still a mess…I’ve been calling every day to both their customer service and my bank to get things straightened out and I’m still having problems. So I can only send e-checks right now, which take about a week to process. Or if I didn’t have a paypal account at all, but I have the money and need to send a money order, do I get left out of the pre-order??

I I just thought that having payments in full would require a lot less tracking and paperwork Susie works hard enough now! I in no way was trying to be unfair to anyone in making the suggestion.

Oh, I know that Hun. I’ve just been so frustrated this past 2 months. :~

As a way around this problem is have people pre order an item and pay for it in full. I’ll use the red panda flap cat as an example since they also seem to have been really popular (and since I am one of the people who didn’t manage to get one! 😉 When Windstone is ready to start making them they post a picture in the store or on the forum and state that on Sept. 2 orders for the flap cats will be accepted for 24 hours (or whatever time period they decide on.) On that day people can order AND PAY FOR however many flap cats they want. Then Windstone has 4 to 6 weeks to deliver the item. The reason for only doing preorders for a limited time is that Melody and the staff will know exactly how many of a limited edition to make and so they don’t end up with several hundred orders.

I love petting my Windstones, I love the different textures and finishes. Though hopefully, I’m not petting so much that I end up rubbing the clearcoat off.
