Thanks everyone!
I used interference paints only, and I used a brand called “Golden”. The store I got them from only had three kinds of interference, lucky for me it was the ones I wanted: red, purple and silver. I also used some cheap brand of acrylic high gloss black I’ve had sitting around for a number of years to darken them for certain parts. Then I just sprayed it with a satin finish, and that’s pretty much it.
Oh, it was a rescue figure, so it was already black and saved me a lot of time (and paint!) not having to do a dark base coat. I think that about covers it. Thanks again for all the kind messages! :bye:….. maybe I’ll get another and do an Autobot dragon, even though they suck, aha haa! XD
I love the sparkles along the back! *___*

Wow! That’s so pretty, and exactly what a phoenix should look like! In the traditional sense, anyway! 😀
I like the dark purple beak and feet as well, it really works with the rest of the colours! Spectacular!Sorry I couldn’t post them the first time. It’s been storming for 3 days here and I wanted a shot of him in the sunlight.
Well, here it is. My first PYO, and my first Windstone product. I call him Kaon after the Decepticon city, because his colours were inspired by the red-eyed, purple symbol waving Transformers bad guys! I am just that much of a geek.
I’ve still got a thing or ten to learn about painting, especially shading and blending, but I’m happy with how he turned out. 😀
All constructive criticism is greatly encouraged and appreciated!ghostndragon wrote:There are a handful of red fire scratching dragons available at the Windstone online store.
Yeah, I saw them and I snatched one up. 😆
That’s a major let down for me about no longer keeping red colours in production. Everything seems to be painted green or blue, which are two colours I’m blind to. Oh well. Maybe I can find someone who is willing to part with theirs.Darn …. that would be my luck.
I’m 24, and I have loved Windstone (the dragons especially!) since I was 10. At that age, one doesn’t really have $200-$400 just laying around, so I waited … and waited … a decade and a half later, and I finally have my first one! A PYO Secret Keeper!
More to come as the money (and stock) flows!I am really in love with the Red Fire Lap Dragon, but I can’t seem to find one anywhere! I even went to the one dealer we have in the city and the only Windstone product they carried was a castle.
Are there any plans to make more, or is that colour retired now?Wow, that’s so pretty! I love how no matter what angle you take a picture of, it always looks like he’s looking right at you!
Everyone has such cute pets!
Here’s my cockatiel, Rampage! Trust me, he lives up to his name!
Here he is enjoying some corn.
And his favorite hobby is getting head scratches!

– sunset colours? Blue and purple?– other mythical creatures
- – chimera
– Quetzalcoatl
– leviathan
– Cerberus– new eye colours and styles (slitted eyes for dragons, maybe?)
That’s all I can think of for now. 😀

I know you’ve already cooked it, but I figured I might as well share what I usually do to my pheasants.
I stuff ’em with slices apples and blueberries, then I rub the outside with peanut oil and coat it with cinnamon sugar. Then, give it a nice little blanket of bacon to snuggle under in that warm, toasty oven.
And there you have it! 😀Here’s a little recipe my grandma made! She’d be angry with me if she knew I was hogging it to myself!
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup vinegar
2 tbsp Worcester sauce
1 tsp celery seed
1/2 tsp chilli powder
2-4 shots of hot sauce (I use Frank’s Red Hot sauce, and I use about a 1/2 a cup of it!)
chopped garlicMix all ingredients and marinate ribs overnight in fridge. Cook ribs as you usually would, and eat that mess up!
