Only partly. I thought I’d be able to save a little while the BEPs weren’t being listed. Like heck. I’m sure you’ll have other pieces to spend on between griffin buys.
December 1, 2006 at 10:52 pm in reply to: ALERT! Can somebody please get that Emerald Riser for me? #513108I thought $240 was a bit much too. I haven’t answered yet. as for PayPal, when I was paying Cheryl for the Riser, I accidentally sent her Swiss franks instead of USD. She was asked to confirm or deny, but she could have gotten payment that way. (Of course she denied and got the full amount in dollars.) But I don’t see how you can not accept a USD payment, even if it does come from Switzerland. I have more than a dozen currencies to choose from, paying from here. I think people in the States would too.
Anyway, I’m not too sure I’ll take him up on that offer.Too bad nothing, Drag0n. You paid an awesome price that will probably never happen again.
December 1, 2006 at 10:47 pm in reply to: What color Griffin family should be released first?? #512844Don’t you want a little time in between buys to restock the cash? For example, I’m pretty darn glad there was a sudden pause in BEP OW sales – just in time for the fancy Spectrals on E-Bay.
Drag0n is right. The Spectral needs spectral eyes.
December 1, 2006 at 10:44 pm in reply to: What color Griffin family should be released first?? #512842She’s going to do a BIN batch in every color the male has been produced in so far, starbreeze. the question is just which should come first.
December 1, 2006 at 10:41 pm in reply to: ALERT! Can somebody please get that Emerald Riser for me? #513106He had two Emerald Risers and says he has multiples of other retired pieces too. Do you know what his other sitting Spectral went for, drag0n?
Btw, he said he couldn’t accept international payments, which is a nuiscance. Is it possible for PayPal to forbid acceptance of international money?BPB, BEP, BVP, GB… Anybody else notice how many B words are floating around lately?
And even those aren’t always “just fixable.”
December 1, 2006 at 10:24 pm in reply to: ALERT! Can somebody please get that Emerald Riser for me? #513101Now got an e-mail from the seller, offering me a Min condition Emerald Sitting Spectral for $240 including careful packaging, insurance and shipping. The catch: He wants to do it off E-Bay.
Any opinions? You’re really good in watercolor, Rylie.
Melody wrote:The Spectral eyes are the smallest size we can get, so I can’t make the heads of Spectrals any smaller than they are.?
Phooey. Physically speaking it should work. In nature the eyes are the only part of the body that doesn’t grow. Babies’ eyes are as big as adults’.
Melody wrote:..and a slightly different topic: I was toying with the idea of re-doing the two spectrals with normal eyes.. that would mean re-sculpting the eyesockets a little.. any thoughts on that?
Noooo! Don’t change his pretty eyes! He’s got the best eyes of any of the dragons! If you have to put in normal eyes, will you pretty please bring out new colors like ruby and white with the real Spectral eyes?
Of course, if normal eyes get us a baby Spectral I’m not so much against it…
very good prices, Silver. I’d jump at the Ruby Riser if I hadn’t just paid for the Emerald…
Good luck to you, Nina.
