This is the fifth ebay thread since I started at Windstone. How does time fly so fast?!
And congratulations to the winner of that little baby uni! He’s gorgeous!
For example, the things I would want that are not made yet:
mother coiled dragon in colors she hasn’t been painted yet, such as elven, prismatic spring, gold, etc.
I swear the poor mum in Prismatic Spring has been on my list of to-dos for so long now -_- Soon my friend, soon!
I certainly do poke around the forums, (if someone mentions wishing to see something in a specific color and I’m running low on ideas… theres a good chance it might sneak onto ebay in the coming weeks/months!) As soon as someone on the forums said they looked like opals I knew I could have had a much better name! I’m terrible at naming the new colors! Thank you guys so much for the compliments! Making my holiday spirit go higher and higher! <3
For coming up with new test paints, its a lot of looking around the world/taking pictures of everything (I’ve had some beautiful ideas come about when I’m cleaning out my guns and the paint all mixes in the big paint bucket) Sometimes I just feel like I’ve been doing too many green dragons and I push myself to use colors that aren’t necessarily my favorites (like pastels!) and make something beautiful from that. The most organic test paints I do are usually my griffins, just start painting and see where it goes!
Oh and Christine! I didn’t see your icon until just now! You should check out the eBay thread! Looks like you and I have the same idea for keeper couples XD
I’m so glad so many of you liked the pastel pegs! And as always if they weren’t quite your thing hopefully something new will hit the eBay store which will rock your world 😉
And for all you Game of Thrones lovers, Dragons of Fire and Ice!
And my nursery! I’ve started holding back the little hatchers until I get as much of the family done as popularity dictates so I keep the right colors/shading. Some of them need to move on though lol, none of them are glued in the eggs, those are all just test paint eggs with the guys fairly randomly placed in
and because I had so much fun with the teal/int green I decided to try green/int gold and red/int gold!
I have some goodies to share with you all! I know people have asked for a photo of the ebay cart, but the way we’re doing it nowadays things get photo’d and packed asap so the cart doesn’t keep anything for very long, so i grabbed some snaps quick for y’all!
More of the frost berry family (I didn’t realize how light the spine on the curlie was, he’s kind of the oddball in the family I guess!
I’m having trouble posting photos, hopefully I’m not making everything go crazy, but while I figure that out, heres something some of you may find interesting: eBay dragons
it didn’t transfer from excel to google sheets very well, but it’s how I keep track of the ebay dragon families 😀
Ha, my phone was still set to the 2016 thread and I was getting antsy with no posts in weeks…. oopsies! I forgot it’s the new year!
I’m always happy to see responses to anything I paint! I knew going into the peacocks that they may be hit or miss, I’m so glad that some people like them, but to those that they didn’t quite hit the right spot: hopefully the next test paint will tickle your fancy! I just wish the photos could showcase their bodies a bit better, I probably need to not focus on the micro as much, but they all have quite a lot of interference colors playing around in the blue to be like the beautiful peacock feathers! Hopefully those people that won them will have many little surprises to find once they receive their new friends! On each piece I do there seems to be a tiny area that just makes me so happy to look at, for example, the way the nose on the Sea Spray old warrior turned out… oo I just love it!
anyway, Happy new year! XD
