Geez, I have no idea what the back story is but I hope we don’t lose the forum over this. And yes, SPark is correct… there has always been drama and disagreements. Nothing we haven’t managed to overcome, though!

This. While there has always been some level of drama, it all simmers down eventually. But only if those involved are willing to take it where it belongs–elsewhere.

I’m not usually keen on the Emperor sculpt OR multiple bright colors on a single sculpt, but I like the panther chameleon a LOT! If I hadn’t just spent a chunk of change on Christmassy stuff, I would have tried hard to win him.

Unfortunately, this kind of scam is extremely common. There are some tells, such as the person being in a non-US country for work (engineer, military, etc.), often a Middle Eastern or Central/East African country. They will sometimes even make phone calls and have conversations with the victim, but something will always come up (last minute) when they’re going to meet in person. The scammer will often use a picture of a fairly attractive person, but not too attractive (at least if the scammer is male/victim is female), sometimes including “their child” in the picture. Finally, it’s not uncommon to find that the victims of these scams don’t talk about it because they’re too embarrassed that they “fell for it”. They feel stupid and ashamed. My mom fell for it and I’m pretty sure that her sister did, too.

These cards are so wonderful. And, honestly, I am always absolutely amazed at Melody and Gang’s thoughtfulness and generosity. I don’t know how all these things get done. Thank you!

Ok. I’m putting in links due to using my phone to do this. Sorry. Anyway, here’s a few photos…none of then do him any justice or accurately reflect his true color, which reminds me of a purple martin.

Mine also came today from spark. He’s beautiful! I’ll see if I can figure out how to post photos from my phone 😛

Sweet! That was fast! But…do I see paint missing from his nose? I had to touch up a couple of spots before I sent him. I’m not happy with the clear coat spray I used.I’m sorry if there’s a spot pulled off (unless it’s an optical illusion). The brush on sealant is much better for me, but it doesn’t play well with airbrush paint. Regardless, I’m glad you like him!

                      Oddly, I didn’t get a notification. I’m sorry I missed these, though.

Hmm. Maybe. I certainly couldn’t commit now, but I can look into it for a summer 2016 trip.

Hate to say it, the car will NOT be good as new if they simply replace the back end. The frame is all one piece–that damage will affect the car even after repair. Alignment issues, rust issues, rubbing of parts that shouldn’t. Stuff just won’t be…right. And your insurance company should go after the guy for his assets. That’s why car insurance policies have the un/under insured coverage.

It’s a very good thing that they make cars so well–yeah, the car might be a mess, but it’s better the car than you. I’m very glad that you and your daughter weren’t seriously hurt.
