This year is the 100th anniversary of Parks Canada and they have released a circulation Loonie ($1) and Twoonie ($2) coins. Our penny has also been discontinued this year.Just bit so the Americans can see just how weird we are (besides having coloured dollar bills :p ) Our bills are going to be made of a plastic polymer now rather than paper. They’ve released the $100 and $50 so far with the others to be released in the next year or so.

I went back to school after I was no longer able to work in the field I have been in. I’m 6 months (yikes!) away from graduation. I did not want to get out of bed this morning and wonder if this is going to be worth it. I’m tired of the all nighters to get projects and papers done, studying, research, working a job (sometimes 2) to make ends meet and having no social life. :tired:
I keep telling myself that this WILL be worth it. I’ll have a job, be making money, not have to do homework and be able to have a social life, but there are a lot of days where that is really, really hard. :tired:
I keep chanting the saying from the First Transformers Movie “No Sacrifice, No Victory” to help keep me plugging along.
Keep telling yourself that it WILL be worth it and the pain and frustration will go away once you’re done, that you can do this. You will be so proud of yourself once you graduate!

Hmm, I’ve seen the paint areas, that could be tricky to set up – everything is kind of inside a box and you don’t want to put the lap top in the box with the paint… 😀
Otherwise, you’d just see Melody’s back or maybe her side and hands from a distance…
We have been thinking about putting a livestream camera in a paint booth, but watching paint dry is incredibly boring!

We had a nest in the eaves of one of the buildings at a camp I used to go to as a kids and we always had to go sneak a look at them several times a day

I know its frustrating, but he has to PROVE with EVIDENCE that you are unfit and most judges will see this for what it is *hugs*At work last night a patron lost a diamond (pinkie nail sized) out of her ring close to where she was sitting. We looked and they finally gave up and I told them to go down to the coat check and let the House Manager know so that if we or the cleaners did find it that we could let them know. I honestly didn;t think we’d find it. A single diamond in the middle of the concert hall balcony? Well, I kept looking just to give it a try and sure enough found it! Made a mad dash down 5 flights of stairs and a frantic search through the lobby hoping to catch them before they left. I did manage to catch them and the patron was very gratefull.

A good start!Really I should’ve posted my life at the moment here, instead of in Melody’s stuff… Dad will be in hospital a couple of days. They think he’s leaking blood internally, just can’t find where. He’s had a transfusion but still more testing to be done. Mum is with him and she’ll be late coming home. Having bronchitis sux – it hurts to cough and hurts to breathe and I get winded coming up the stairs. As for the divorce situation – I’ve no idea where this is coming from. Rod just announced one day that he was done and that’s been that. He wants me out of the house. He won’t go. Boyohs are thoroughly disgusted with him and don’t want to be where he is. I’m currently in Utah helping my parents and Rod and boyohs are in Idaho, at home. I have no idea how I’m going to be able to support myself and the boyohs. I’ve been out of the job market over 20 years. Who in their right mind would hire me? I’ve just been raising boyohs… Really makes you wonder about your decision making skills. If I goofed up the marriage decision so badly, what other important things have I screwed up?

Number 1 – Don’t you go feeling bad about this, you did nothing wrong! This is all about *him* and there is nothing, absolutely nothing wrong with your decision making!
For sole custody of the boys, you have to prove that the other parent is unfit (insane, abusive, etc.) or actually say and give up your rights. Your boys are also older so will more than likely have a say in who they want to live with. Also, the courts seem to generally side with the mother getting custody of the kids.
As for you paying him… yeah, I don’t think so. You’ve been a stay at home mum and there is no way that you are going to be making more money than him, which, here at least, is one of the determining factors in support payments.
As for the rest… You can do it! There are jobs out there. Look into going back to school or taking courses to upgrade the skills you do have. There are actually programs out there for people who are starting over to give them a hand. We believe in you!
Find a good lawyer and be completely honest with him/her. It’s going to be a long rough road but you WILL get through it. And we’re always here when you need to talk or vent *hugs*
*hugs* Walk away and sit down with a cup of tea and a book (or whatever tickles your fancy) and destress for a bit. I always find that my creativity runs under the bed and cowers and won’t come out while I’m stressed.

I really hope Kiya’s post will solve the problemPeople (in general not just here) need to remember that just because the internet is somewhat anonymous that doesn’t mean you should treat people any differently that you would a person you would deal with face to face. Think over what you are saying and if you wouldn’t say that when you were face to face with someone you would meet on the street, reword it or don’t say it.
That comment was very akin to saying to someone who owned a Lamborghini that they don’t deserve the car because they make too much money and that they should give it to you because you are poor/have no car/own a beater. Yeah, how well would that go over?I have been drooling over and collecting Windstones for 20 years (can’t believe it’s been that long…) and have amassed a collection of around 100 pieces, including several ebay pieces. I worked, saved and planned for to get the pieces I have and while I am envious of people getting various pieces, harassing them or asking them to trade or sell doesn’t cross my mind. Why? because I assume that they did exactly what I did, worked, planned and saved (or got lucky in a draw I had just as much of a chance of winning) for their pretty.
Just because we WANT doesn’t mean we GET or DESERVE. Far too many people today feel entitled just because they want something.

Constantly. If it’s personal papers it will go missing, I swear the dragons are making nests with them! And of course you find the darned things when you don’t need them or after you got a replacement.
The funny thing is in the rest of my life (school and work) I’m super orgnaized and rarely if ever loose anything. :p
