Thanks for the pics. I’m a Trekkie (or Trekker) and was introduced to the Fabulous world of StarTrek when I was a kid. Dad (the main Trekkie in the house) used to let us stay up to watch The original StarTrek reruns when Mum was out curling. Still remember a few “Mum’s home” races to the bedroom to pretend to be asleep 😀 Voyager was my favorite, DS9 my least favorite, never really got to see Enterprise (stupid work) and haven’t seen the new movie yet 😳 . Have a few toys, DVDs and random stuffs. Have never been to a Convention (am way too chicken to go alone) but they look like fun. The philharmonic Orchestra here did a StarTrek music night that was hosted by Robert Picardo (The Doctor) and John DeLancie (Q) and was planning to go, but work got in the way 😥 Thanks for sharing pics, looks like you had a great time and booya! for getting your IPad signed 😀
The blue looks like the blue on the glacier pearls. Would LOVE to see dragons in Glacier Pearl 😀 squeek* 😀
Very nice. I wish I wasn’t broke right now. I love the ton on tone spots 😀
Bubbly foam… yep had that. The bubbles/foam will remain in the clearcoat when dry, not as bad, but still there. I find it happens most when I’ve been a little to enthusiastic mixing my clearcoat 😳 or have to go over alot of bumpy areas (which on a PYO is everything). Going slow and steady is the first way to prevent this. Other trick are…
– Only go in one direction
– Use a small flat brush
– Wet your brush and press out the excess water so that it’s just damp
– Don’t over stroke an area
If you are getting bubbles, then with a different brush, lightly brush the area in a single direction while it’s still wet to remove the bubbles.
As for pooling in the creases, it happens and you can either lightly brush it out, with a different brush, or leave it. I generally leave it unless it’s a rather large or deep pool as kujacker said, it just takes longer to dry and in some ways I think it’s great ’cause it fills in some of those nooks that are a pain to dust 😛Gorgeous!!! :hi:
I like your dragons, they look diferent than what we’re used to and show some imagination 🙂
Also LOVE that HippocampusDeviant Art – Have and account, surf there a lot, and occasionally post stuff
Facebook – Have an account though I’m rarely there (really don’t see the attraction)
Etsy – Surf occasionally, have considered selling but am too chicken
Ebay – Every other day or so
Amazon – (dot ca) once in awhileThe others, No
*snork* XD XD XD XD XD

Hmmm…. I always remember hearing about a devil/demon that followed behind Santa’s sleigh and would leave coal in our stockings if we were bad. Gramma was the one who told these tales and she was Irish 😕
Anyone remember the the song “Gramma got run over by a Reindeer” and the line “incriminating claw marks on her back?” 😀
If it has to exist at this point – Amethyst Hatching Empress (it’s on my list and I am hoping and dreaming) 😳
A dream Piece – Glacier Pearl Fledgie 😀Ha! That sounds like fun! I’ll look for a postcard when I’m out tomorrow, though it make take a while to get there! 😀
My niece 😮
Love the book idea Phoenix. It does really put things in perspective when you have a visual aid 🙂
I was a sensitive child (still am as an adult) and had a very intolerant childhood. “Get over it” being the kindest thing said when I was upset about something.
The best advice I could give would be what I wish my parents had done. Just be there for her. Be a shoulder to cry on, talk about what is going on when she is not emotionally riled up, let her know it’s okay to be sensitive, help her figure out ways of dealing with things thrown her way and that she CAN cope with things. Be her cheerleader and be the voice of reason when she is overreacting to something, but never belittle her feelings or reprimand her for them. From experience, these things do resolve themselves as she gets older and gains more life experience. I know as Mum you want to fix everything for her, want her to have it better than you, but we still have to figure things out for ourselves. Though a confidant and a little constructive help along the way helps immensely.
Why is it that dresses and tops for bigger people generally shapeless sacks? I’m a bigger girl but I have an hourglass figure, most of us larger women have a figure. Or have plunging necklines that show off your brassiere? Every shirt I tried on yesterday had the ‘point’ of the neckline ending below my bust. I’m sorry but with a bigger frame generally comes a bigger bust and bigger ‘girls’ mean I could *never* go without a bra. And Why oh Why are all the winter dresses sleeveless or just cover your bust? It’s frickin WINTER 😡
I hate clothes shopping 👿 -
