http://www.zibbet.comIt’s basically like Etsy, hand-made items, vintage & supplies. I’ve seen more artist start to use this site so it’s gaining popularity! They have a free account & 2 options for the paid account. No sales yet but I just set up an account. My items already appeared on the front page!
Pros:
There is a free account! It’s very easy to use, just like setting up something on Etsy. They even have an Etsy & Artfire imported tool that’s pretty easy to use, but took sometime to edit everything. Because it’s not as “big” as Etsy your items don’t get lost as easyCons:
With the free account you only get 50 listings at a time, but that’s still plenty for me. Another site people have to sign up for to shop at. Not as well known as Etsy or Ebay so you have to advertise yourselfYardsellr
http://yardsellr.comIt’s more like E-bay because you can sale anything you want just about on this site, but there are no auctions only buy it now. I have sold a few small items on this site.
Pros:
It’s free to set up & because it’s owned by FaceBook it gets a lot of trafficCons:
It’s owned buy FaceBook lol. They have fees after your items sale & the biggest issue is you have to mail the item before you get paid. They hold funds until you show prof of shipment. This can be a big problem if you don’t already have money to cover the shipping costTopHatter
http://tophatter.comThis is a “live” auction site, where your items go up on stand by until someone makes the first bid, then it goes up for bid in the “live” auction. People actually have to be in the auction room to bid on the items
Pros:
It’s getting a lot of traffic & has been showcased on major news shows. I’ve done really well with this site but not with my artwork (only sold 2 pieces of artwork, but that’s better than nothing). Very easy to use. Live auction so there is no “sniping” like e-bay & people can get into bidding “wars” so your items go for more. You can set up community auctions, where you can invite members & only allow items you want in your auction.Cons:
The fees are not always the same. Fees keep changing & different types of auctions have different fees. An example is the jewelry auction might have a 10% while the hand-made auction has a flat $1.25 fee. Tophatter seams to change fees a lot. One down side is you have to attend the auction to bid, so if an item you want goes up for bid you can miss it. People have to move your items out of stand by, so your items may or may not go out for bid.Well I’m glad you’re getting everything tested just to be on the safe side. Half the time though I think doctors have no idea what their doing LOL That’s why I’m into more holistic medicine ^_^
When will it be and what will you make (or get them to make)?
It’s this Tuesday the 23rd And I’ll be showing how to make a simple dog, something kind of like one of these
But it’s going to be more of a “standard” german shepard like dog, brown & black ^_^WOW I just have to say the Fall Flame makes that look like a whole new sculpture!! I had to do a double take when I saw him on E-bay, because I didn’t think it was a male dragon at first. The paint job on that male & the poison dart frog male I think are by fare my favorite paint jobs on any of the dragons! I’m sure both are crazy to paint but they would be amazing production colors!!!
Thanks so much everyone! So trying not to be nervous about it LOL
I don’t know how many people I’ll have in the class yet. They just posted it on the website & I left flyers at the store for people to take. I’m also doing a art show this weekend & hopefully some people will sign up there. So fare no one has signed up but then again they might show up the day of the class…
It’s going to be a one day work shop kind of thing, but if a lot of people sign up or show interest I might end up doing more classes!!
I could not bring myself to type anything until today. Over the years Pam was a great customer & so easy to please. I wish I could of known more people like her. She will be greatly missed & my heart goes out to her family.
Ah that’s so cool! New baby & new windstone! Congrats!!
Hee hee hee, I just realized who you are! I own some of your dragon originals! Love your artwork. (Bought them from eBay)
Oh that’s awesome! So glad you like my artwork ^_^
lol I wonder if husky undercoat would work, I could send y’all bags of it for free! lol, cute projects though!
lol Yup you can felt with dog fur or any natural fur for that matter, just has to be cleaned like normal wool. I’m actually making an elkhound right now out of the dogs fur.
I’ve been needle felting for I think about 6 years now. If you’re on FaceBook I started a needle felting group https://www.facebook.com/groups/needlefelting/ Where you can share tips, ask for help, post stuff you’ve made & so on ^_^
Needle felting is so much fun, I’ve not really done anything new in awhile because sadly it kills my wrist 🙁

Little Dragon pendant, just about 2″ long counting the crystal
New baby Pixie Dragon, this one is tiny. Only about 1.5″ tall
Little “Happy Dragons” I actually made these guys a few years ago & it was one of the few things I’ve made & kept, but it’s time for them to find a new home ^_^

It’s an ornament made by Radko but it’s retired & not made anymore. http://www.radkoforsale.com/servlet/the-1191/Radko-FIRE-FANG-Rainbow/Detail
I actually own this one & it looks a lot like the male dragon. But it’s hand-blown glass so I’m not sure if I should tell John or not.September 10, 2012 at 5:08 pm in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #886192Don’t know if anything was said about this auction but i thought i should bring it to people’s attention.
Yuck now sense I clicked the link E-bay keeps saying “you looked at this, you might also like this…” Keeps showing me that dragon & other cheap knock offs LOL That dragon is apparently all over e-bay 🙁 Once I clicked the link it showed me like 4 more of the same dragon. And almost everything in that e-bay users store looks like a knock off http://stores.ebay.com/Art-of-History/DRAGONS-/_i.html?_fsub=3824919&_sid=8880715&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322
Sadly I don’t think they make them, just resellers. -
