Kind of like the find a dealer page starts by a listing of the state abbreviations? If they can make that change, I don’t see why they couldn’t make this change. And I agree (especially since I have SLOOOOW connection – anything that cuts down on the number of clicks is a win in my book 🙂 )
If you want to go to Canada, just remember to budget time and money to get a passport. And if you want to fly, you have to get the full booklet, not just the passport card (although you can get both if you want).
August 24, 2012 at 6:13 pm in reply to: Just Re-stocked the small Bird Winged FlapCats in the Lynx Point color #885401Would love to get this one and the brown bengal one because once these are gone, I think they both are going to join the silver bengal in “not for a long time land” because of all the little spots. I just can’t get my wallet around the price. I understand because the smaller pieces take longer to do because you have to be so precise, but I just can’t personally justify it, especially since I collect unicorns, not really cats. Although it would be nice to have them join the original four. (that could be part of the pricing problem for me – I remember what I spent on the originals and while I know prices have gone up, the “that would be nice” hasn’t outweighed the “how much???” factor.)
FYI Susie, when I go to the Foo Pup page in the store, the text in the Eye Color box (both ‘Please select’ and the eye colors) show up real faint (like dark grey on black) on my laptop running XP and firefox. I have to actually highlight each entry in order to read it. Just something for Clay and the software people… 😉
(Not that I would be able to paint one; I’m more of a string arts person – ask me about lucet sometime…)
Pam, just FYI – when you moved a bunch of the dragons and removed several categories, the pictures on the dragon page didn’t get updated…
You aren’t the only one with new job jitters. Some of us just suffer it worse than others. 😉
Regarding insurance, I presume you have insurance at the job you have now. Contact the insurer and see if they have some sort of individual coverage they can convert you to. You may have to go with a high deductible or even a HSA (health savings account) plan, but the important thing is to maintain coverage.
If they don’t (or you can’t afford) such a plan, at least get a letter stating that you had health coverage from x-date to y-date. Then shop around for what are called ‘short-term’ policies. (I think that is the term). Basically it is a bare bones policy that won’t cover any pre-existing conditions, but is designed for those “emergency” type problems (getting sick, breaking a bone, etc). They only last 6-months or a year maybe two but are designed to help cover you while you are waiting for the new employer plan to kick in. And if you can prove that you have had continuous coverage up through today, the premiums might be lower.Hopefully you can convert to some type of individual plan with your current insurer, because if worse comes to worse and this job doesn’t last a year or if in the next year, they decide it is cheaper to NOT insure everyone (being such a small company), you will have “regular” insurance of your own that you can continue. (And the insurance premiums go on Schedule A as a medical expense!)
Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions
Good luck with the new job!August 18, 2012 at 1:18 am in reply to: Something funny . Look at the globes in the new Lavender and Gold Coiled dragons pics . #885010must have been the last one, because now the “notify” button is there…
luvdawurld said ” I found a small hole through the wrapping, box and aparently through the peanuts and bubblewrap. ”
This is why we inspect the box and if there appears to be any damage, the camera is immediately brought out and photos are taken of the box even before we start cutting the tape. Better to take the time to take photos and then delete them, than wish you had taken photos of the process later…
I would work both through ebay and the post office. The post office can take forever. The seller should actually work through the post office unless the seller wants to send you the receipts. Although eBay will most likely want you to send it back if the seller won’t offer you a refund/discount. That is the only problem with ebay buyer protection. It isn’t really set up for situations where we want to keep the item at a discount and get it repaired. It tends to be all or nothing unless the seller is willing to work with you.
And as far as the shippers goes, UPS is the one that wanted to take the item. They came twice to try and pick it up to “send it back”. We fought and they finally authorized a partial payment to the seller which was shared with us.
I hope you get some money back and can get it fixed.
It has to do with the size of the photo. The forum can only display so many pixels wide. (It won’t automatically shrink to fit.) Unfortunately I don’t remember how many. That is why some pictures are cut off on the right.
Maybe someone else on the forum remembers the exact limits. So the key is to “resize” the photo before uploading it to your photosharing site. When we do this, we do a save-as so that we still have the full resolution picture if it needs to be emailed somewhere.
Hope this helps.
JanaYou can also point them at the FAQ page here. It is the last entry. And that write-up includes a link to the ebay write-up.
The colorful ones in the gallery are eBay pieces that PS painted. The regular frog wizard is the green one. It is still listed in the store, but like a lot of things, out of stock.
Just being nit-picky, but shouldn’t the Red Fire Emperor and the Red Fire Young also be moved to Retired?
Also, I guess technically the Rock Dragon and the Little Rock Dragon should be put in the “Stuff We Won’t Have For Awhile” category (at least until you decide to do them in gypsum) but that would (temporarily?) ‘eliminate’ the “Garden Art” category.
“emerald violet shift” fledgling and baby ki-rin were already on eBay last year, end of October/first of November. Maybe one of these days we will get pictures posted.
Shouldn’t all the Red Fire dragons be put in retired? It has been said in multiple places that Red Fire and Ruby won’t ever be production again because red is such a hard color to work with.
Oh, and thanks for adding the Pebble Animals category.
I would be happy if next to the link for “my account” it could put the number of new PM’s in messages. Like if you had 1 message it would say:
My account(1)
I wouldn’t mind if the link still sent me to the main account page and then I still had to link to the message page, but at least it would be there at the top of every page that I looked at while logged in.
