I think the blue eyes would bring out the blue on the front scales and the ear??? scales (I’ve never known what to call those!), but it all depends on the final product, really.

I use the Folkart satin finish on most of my PYOs. I also have a glossy top coat for the times when I want to make scales really shiny. I think I have the Golden brand.

Toaster is having a final “master” mold made on him now. I should get a final test-paint casting by next week ( today is July 5 ). So he only needs a final going over for problems, and then we will have production molds made.
              Getting there!

The PYO castle is in the works. Marco, our mold maker, is trying different ways to cast the window openings.

              Yaaaaay!

                I have a non-ponycorn question!

Do you know where things are at with the PYO castle?

I’ll add, try on the non-display side first. That way, if it doesn’t work out, you paint over it and any minor booboos that may still show won’t be there to bug you on the display side. I learned the hard way…

We have a lone male mallard skulking around right now… no clue where his lady is!
We put up the nest last week and I think a merganser couple may be renting the place. Last year, wood ducks were checking out the place, but she found it lacking… it was a hoot seeing her peering inside the nest (which is a wooden box with a lid and a hole, really), little butt waggling up while her head and neck were inside.
