I got mine today! They are very pretty but not my favourite colour combos so will be up for trade. Pictures to come shortly.
Too bad they’re not to your liking. If you got yours today, mine should get to Edmonton tomorrow. I’m so excited to see them. 🙂 Crosses fingers for non-pastel colors 🙂 (which I know are right up your alley Kim.)
Thanks for the quick response. I just wanted to check. 🙂
This sounds fun. 🙂 One small question though. Can we include a caption for the picture, or does it have to be self explanatory?
I only plan to keep 1 of these cute little fellows but I bought 2 to increase the chance of getting a color I like. So I do plan to trade or sell one. I’m glad to see so many people showing interest in ones that I don’t particularly care for since it means more of us will be happy in the end 🙂 Good luck to all of us on getting a favorite!
I did the exact same thing. Figured 2 out of 200 was a better chance at getting one I like than 1 out of 200. I plan to keep my favorite and sell the other (I figure the odds are pretty good I’ll be able to make back the cost + shipping on it.)
But with my luck I’ll love them both, and won’t want to sell one. 😛 I curse/love the maximum purchase of 2.I never pictured Mouse as being quite that furry – more of a short hair. But the size sure looks about right 😛 (I love him and Mister)
Can I weigh in with a related question?
Would you perhaps consider a production color Grab Bag for the mini keepers and horders? Assuming there were no plans to do them in individual production colors, it would be a cool way to get them in regular colors but still not know what you’ve got until you open it.Probably wishful thinking of course, I’m sure it would be more work for you guys to paint and pack them as GB’s than as separate colors. 😛
This idea doesn’t appeal to me at all. Many collectors only collect particular colours and the prospect of getting an odd production colour that I don’t collect is distinctively unappealing. I’d far rather have a random grab bag colour. If the hoarder and mini-keeper do end up as production colours at some point, I’ll happily purchase them in my preferred colours.
Also, I’m sure there’s an economy of scale with painting a normal sized batch in production colours that would render making production colours into grab bags not cost effective.
You’re probably right about the cost effectiveness.
I’m the opposite of you when it comes to colors though, I hate having multiple matching colors on my dragons. One or two of the same is the most I have. I prefer my collection to be more random looking, but the regular Grab Bags will fit in with them nicely.Cache

Lucky you Chloe. I desperately want one in brown, but I have to wait til mid month (:P money :P). I hope they’ll still be there, or there’s another batching coming up later this year.
I was very fortunate it worked out I was able to get one. I thought for sure it wasn’t going to happen and had already resigned myself to missing them….but sometimes things fall in place!
I hope they are still in stock for you. ***fingers crossed***
Thanks for the happy thoughts. I managed to shift some money around a few days earlier than I thought and grabbed the last one. Now the hard part is reorganizing my room so I can put her where I want.

You could be right about the color. It’s almost impossible to see a difference in the green on my monitor, but if I look close I can see a couple blue scales on the cheaper one.
What’s hilarious is that another one was just listed with a starting price of $40.
The screw only idea seems to work quite well. I used a 2 inch wall mounting screw. I was going to use a 15 pound wall anchor, but turns out there was a stud right where I wanted to put him. The screw ended up sticking out of the wall about 2/3rd’s of an inch.
Yes I know it’s angling down. That was my fault because I decided not to stand on a chair, so I was holding the screw driver above my head instead of straight on. It is perfectly stable, so see no point in fixing it.The hold against the wall is nice and tight.
And he looks so happy to not be lying around anymore. Kind of dusty though. 🙂
Edit: If you are worried about the finish make sure you cover the screw groves with something (tape, cloth, etc.) I took him down off the wall to dust and can see small scratches in the black paint where his weight was resting.
