Welcome welcome! I was so pleasantly surprised to see your name in the postings! I bought the Young Uni from you, the one with the glued leg. He’s sitting right by me right now. <3 Stick around! This place is great for supporting Windstone Addiction!
September 30, 2011 at 2:55 am in reply to: Important! Did all Young Unicorns from last batch arrive safely? #858598How about taping the inserts closed with packing tape before they go in the inner box? A strip on each end should hold, right?
Thanks for the info. 🙂 It’s frustrating that they don’t answer phone, or any of their email addresses though, unless you purchase something. I’ve tried to get an answer out of them about their stock three different times over the last year and never got a response. Each time I’ve emailed Sales, and Support also.
They lose money by not responding. I’m not going to buy if I can’t get an answer about the item I want, or at least proof someone is running the shop…. 🙁
You were saying? Heehee!
Violet Flame! Blue Flame! Eep!
<3_<3
GUH. I want one SO BAD!
I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow at 2pm that I can’t reschedule. 🙁 Dang it.
Time is so relative XD I wonder if “early” means West or East coast standards.
I don’t want to miss them @3@
I would love to see someone who has the right setting and Windstones for it, to do a picture of a nest of hatching royalty, being guarded carefully by a well-hidden Lap or Emp in the foliage in the BG….
Has anyone successfully ordered from there in the last month or two?
I can’t seem to get any kind of response when I email them.
What a ray of light beaming out from those photos! Autumn is beautiful. 🙂
D’awwwww, Hannah that appy is lovely. <3
September 27, 2011 at 4:45 pm in reply to: Fraudulent Ebay Listing Warning (Peacock Fledgling) #858234I’m pretty sure it won’t host the other person’s photos for you too–so the guy would have had to save the original pics and upload them himself. Or at least copy the URLs of the original pics depending on how he embedded the images. It seems kind of shady.
Hahah yeah the used car salesman vibe kind of adds a little humor.
There’s a buyer on there complaining that the inside was spray painted and duct-taped, and that the car lasted an hour after buying. His response was just “He saw it before he bought it.”
Lupus, I know there area few forum members who really like that texture, so if you wanted to trade for a smooth one you probably wouldn’t have much trouble. I bought a Young and an Adult and they’re both smooth.
Am I thankful that I was finally able to receive one? Yes. But at the same time you feel that all you’re getting is someone’s discarded leftovers. It’s not a pleasant feeling.
:/ well if it makes you feel any better, I ended up adding a unicorn to my little drawing that I never wanted to part with – and keep in mind that I traded to GET most of these unis – they are FAR from being my discarded leftovers! I know what you mean, but I just wanted to assure you that I actually worked to get these specific unis, and it was not without a lot of thought that I decided to sell them 🙂 I HAD gotten offers on trades for them when they were in the trade thread, but I was never shy about turning the trades down when I didn’t want the other uni 🙂 <3
Yah yah, I ended up giving up one of my GB babies for this too, and debated for DAYS which one I could bear to part with. The one I gave up for Hannah’s raffle was in no way leftovers 🙂 I just really wanted someone else to get in on the fun and she was kind enough to start it all off.
About sorting the batches…I dunno, it seems like Melody and the staff have done so much for us on these already. And some colors ride a fine line between ‘fantasy’ and ‘normal’, and what’s normal for someone else might be fantasy for another, since color and aesthetics are so subjective…. And she did say she conceived the idea to encourage trading, and having a large variety in one batch sure will! 🙂
