Ptolemy is really nice. We’ve seen a lot of unis with a similar pattern and colours, but the blending and copper mane really set it off handsomely.
It also gives me hope that my unis will arrive today. *sits impatiently waiting for postman*
I squeak for this too! The cement pieces always cost more to ship to Canada, so I’ve never bought one for that reason. But casting them in gypsum solves that.
And the albino is pretty! 🙂 Metallic teal eyes would be amazing too, since I pretty much love anything with teal eyes. 😛

Based on the tracking number info, mine were held up in customs for four days! You’d think they were weapons-grade uranium or something. I bet the customs officials were secretly have a unicorn tea party without me. 😛
LOL! I love Story Time, especially the glasses on the OW. Just perfect. Heh, I also like how some of the fledglings seem to be distracted by the camera man. 😉
Sent you a PM. 🙂
I’m glad you like him. 🙂
Yeah, I was the high bidder, but the reserve was higher (more than $110). Hopefully I can get one from a forum member and avoid the games of bidding and reserve prices.
I agree with the others; option 2 is your safest bet.
You did nothing wrong, so you shouldn’t have to lose a cent on this.
The seller lied about the condition of the piece (stains + dust + stink = NOT MINT), ignored your reasonable request for FedEx shipping, and packed the dragon poorly (a properly packed piece should be able to survive rough handling). She should be on the hook for all costs. If she doesn’t like it, too bad, don’t be a dishonest seller.
Those of us who sell on eBay often complain about the new buyer protection policies that seem to penalize sellers, but this is exactly the kind of situation where they’re needed.
October 15, 2011 at 3:46 pm in reply to: Wowee; look what was just listed on eBay! Another Blue Ice! #860180That pegasus looks even more amazing than the dragons! It looks so beautiful and icy, like it would melt if you held it in your hand for too long. 🙂 I would buy the whole set of unicorns painted in ice blue, no question.
I hope they aren’t too hard to paint, because I would rather this become a regular production color, rather than a LP one.
Yay, baby dragons! 😀
I don’t buy multiples of the same sculpt, with the exception of the fledgling because it’s so cute. I would definitely buy baby dragons in virtually every color if they look like little fledgies. 🙂
October 14, 2011 at 2:01 pm in reply to: WTT My Amethyst OW for YOUR Amethyst Rising Spectral #860043I’m expecting to get my unis in the mail any day now. If I get cookie dough, I will seriously consider taking you up on that red fire spectral partial trade.
I think a crouching baby dragon, or even a lying down sleeping one, would be adorable. Just imagine a fledgling crouching like a playful kitten and try not to squee! 🙂 They would sell like hotcakes.

The spectral went for what, $1400? $1600? My paltry $400 bid didn’t even get me one fleeting second of being the high bidder. 😛
October 12, 2011 at 3:58 am in reply to: ‘Fantasy’ 9/22/11 Grab Bag Young Unicorn batch discussion/picture thread #859787Wow, these are amazing. I hope that I get a uni that I can trade for Oceania, she’s my favorite so far, and that’s really saying something, considering all the awesome fantasy unicorns that have been posted.
Come on, postman, bring me my unis! I can’t stand the suspense!
You might also want to mention that you’re wanting an Emerald hatching emperor in your title so if anyone has one for sale, they’ll be able to find you easier 🙂
Good suggestion. I would prefer to buy from someone on the forum, if possible.
Failing that, I’ve got someone to help me with the eBay auction dragon. 🙂
