While we are on the subject of kirins…
Whisker Hunter West mentioned this in the grab bag thread, but I’ve a squeak to see this color scheme on kirins and other sculpts! It’s lovely.
I was hoping for that mahogany one also. When I opened my box this afternoon I actually thought I had gotten it at first glance. But the one I got is the white one with the black and red scales and red eyes. Very pretty and goes well with my Koi collection. But if the person who gets the mahogany ones wants to trade, I’m open to it!
I think that one was Natasha’s favorite! Maybe she’ll be able to swap with you, if she gets the Mahogany ori.
For big Windstones I will (reluctantly) choose UPS because the shipping price for big heavy items is significantly cheaper with UPS. That’s probably because Priority Mail flies packages across the country while basic UPS means that they are driven from the West Coast to the East Coast.
Aaaah, yea. That makes sense. I don’t know why I assumed USPS would drive like UPS ground. That wouldn’t be very efficient for the postal service!
Thank you all for the advice! I’ll have to try USPS next time. I live in New York, so chances are there are some decent hubs in the area that might allow it to arrive quicker than UPS.
I’m also on the opposite side of the country. My experience has been that Priority Mail usually takes two days – for example, mailed on Monday and arrive on Wednesday or mailed on Thursday and arrive on Saturday. In this case I would expect a box on Monday (weather permitting).
So, Etruscan, have you found Priority Mail to be speedier than UPS? (I guess that would explain why it is a few dollars more)

Though they really are all spectacular. I’m thrilled with how the batches were divided, since I wasn’t too keen on the white and blues. It was tough between koi and wild, but in the end I had way more that caught my eye in the wild batch. Definitely a hit to the wallet, but I’m hoping this is my last one for a while. I can’t wait to see everyone show theirs off!

I know I said no more grab bags but I can’t NOT get a new Oriental sculpt. They’re all so pretty and Oriental Dragons are one of my favorites!
I was thinking the same thing and just got the e-mail for the new twilight gemstones. It completely faked me out, but the new test paints are very pretty!
I am so excited for these. The hype is real! I wonder if they have their felt pads yet and, if so, when they will finally be released.
