Drag0n!! Good luck on the future move! So much changes after a move, it’s an instant fresh start. My life did a complete 180 after I moved out of state. Fingers crossed for you! 🙂
Name: Angela (bayoudragon)
Contact Info: Please PM me through the forum for initial contact
Commission status: Waiting list (updated – 2/4/2016)
PYO Painting Rates: These are the base rates. Anything with stripes/markings, feather blending, or detailed scales will run a little higher (based on complexity). I do not charge by the hour, but instead I have a list of painting breakdowns for most of the sculpts to make the pricing of PYOs consistent (this will allow you to adjust the price and complexity/detail to your liking).
SCULPTURE PAINTING ONLY PAINTING + SCULPT Muse $75 $100 Phoenix $140 $175 Griffin $140 $175 Wolf $120 $150 Kirin $120 $155 Unicorn $120 $155 Dragon (small) $130 $160 Keeper (big) $175 $225 Foo adult $175 $225 Foo pup $40 $60 Mediums/brands of paint used: Golden fluid acrylics (including interference & iridescent paints) and DecoArt staining medium. Pieces are sealed using Golden’s brush-on gloss polymer sealant with UVLS (UV protection).
Shipping info: Since customer pays shipping costs, I am more than happy to ship worldwide. Pieces are shipped in their original boxes and double boxed with packing peanuts. Insurance and tracking are required. Pieces are shipped from Taos, NM.
Payment info: I accept USPS money orders and Paypal. I gladly accept payment in installments. I’m very flexible, and payment details for each piece are worked out on a case-by-case basis. The piece will be shipped once the final payment is received. If for some reason I finish the PYO much earlier than expected, and it puts you in a bind, the payment “due date” will of course be extended to accommodate you.
Completion time: The time it takes me to complete a piece depends on its complexity and my current work schedule. It can take as little as one week for an Interference Wolf or up to a few months for a Maltese Tiger Griffin. If you are looking for a quick turn-around on a commission, please ask first, as it may not be possible. Regardless, I will keep you updated on the progress.
Communication: I always keep the lines of communication open. Once I begin sending picture updates of your PYO, I switch to email communication instead of PMs (it’s just easier for sending pics). If for some reason you contact me and I do not respond within a week, something has happened. My laptop is broken, I’m in the hospital, etc. Chances are the email was simply sent to my spam folder and was lost. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO EMAIL ME AGAIN! If you still cannot reach me, please try a PM through the forum.
Other comments: Nothing is set in stone when I begin painting. It’s a very organic process, and the piece will constantly change depending on how well the colors start to complement one another and balance each other out (especially with the muse). If I feel something drastic is necessary to improve the piece, I will, of course, consult you first. After finishing a piece, I usually find it necessary to add extra detailing, but I will not charge for this (that’s just me giving in to my detail obsession… LOL). I put in a lot of work and hours on my pieces. You are going to receive a very nice PYO.
Feel free to PM me with any questions! =)
updated! 🙂
Yep. My messages are gone again. LOL
I got a kitty griff… the gem size for the necklace measured a just a hair shy of 5mm. 🙂
Store front still wonky, and I can’t access ads from my account. Messages are back though! 🙂
All my private messages are gone.
NICE! I can’t wait to see this beauty finished!
Oh, she is nice! 🙂
Blue roans are some of my favorites… she is STUNNING!! 🙂
That… is… STUNNING! I love the contrast and details in the fur. Beautiful!!
Thanks, all! It has definitely been an adventure. I’m following my heart and doing what I want. It’s quite liberating.
And the divorce is amicable. We are still close friends and are very supportive of each others different endeavors. But we still have to go through the motions, and that can be a bit stressful.
But my oven door was fixed yesterday! YAY! 😀
‘Forests of the Night’ Foo Dog Family
This family was painted for a commission from LindaS. I was delighted and honored to get a chance to paint a whole matching family of Foos! They were an interesting and enjoyable challenge. And I was happy to finally get the chance to paint a Foop! They are SO much cuter in person! The store picture just doesn’t do them justice.
OMG! These are amazing!! LOVE! <3
I LOVE the rooster!! And the magic paint does show up a bit. 🙂

I did get to talk to him. He will be building another Earthship sometime this year (if things go well) and wants to make me his project manager. He also mentioned about putting me on his client projects. I made him put on the brakes, and we discussed a few things.
He basically wants to make sure I have enough money and to keep me motivated so I don’t leave. And he doesn’t want the company (Earthship Biotecture) to steal me away either. That tends to happen with some of the people he personally hires. He just lost one to the company a couple months ago, and with my artistic abilities, he doesn’t want that to happen to me.
I told him that the last thing I wanted was to be overloaded. That’s one of the reasons I quit my job a couple years ago. I don’t need a bunch of money. Just enough… and enough time to myself so I can work on my commissions. He understood. I also told him I don’t really want to work for the company either. I have more flexibility with him, and if there’s something I don’t feel comfortable or qualified doing, I can simply let him know. It’s more of a partnership (than being an employee working for the company).
So far, I really want to see where this goes. Yes, I’m away from my family and spent Christmas alone, but in a way, I was OK with it. It was nice and quiet. I had the place to myself, the fire going with a nice hot cup of tea on Christmas Eve. We got snow on Christmas, and I got to watch my nephew open his gifts through FaceTime. It was kinda nice.
Actually, the hardest thing is adjusting to a totally different climate. South Louisiana barely drops below freezing. I checked the weather the other day, and it was -6 degrees (F). o.0
I have snow boots in route! XD
