O M G! HECKS to the YEAH! I got a sneak peek at our new dragon last night at orientation. Is it bad that I want one in my house? WAAAANT! LOL.
The poor old geriatric dragon we had was retired. The new dragon is in a new area — Devil’s Keep. His scene is awesome. It has wonderful brick work and wrought iron fencing. I know the Boss Man would let me take pics, but I don’t think I would be able to post them (copyright issues… which I highly respect).

Not knowing can be really tough. I'm happy that you are able to make a fresh positive start. That's not an easy thing to do, and it shows just how strong person you are! Mucho Hugs!!
I saw the uni post in the collection thread. That is so totally awesome. This forum really is the best place to be. 🙂
I’ll probably be cursed by others for saying this, but I like the fact that notifications of new special items will not be given. While I can and do get store notifications, not everyone is capable of receiving them. Others may be able to get them but may not be able to respond in a timely manner. It makes things a bit more fair.
Plus, I won’t have to sit there with my nerves fried and my heart freaking out because the checkout page isn’t responding due to so many people being on at once. XD
Also, I have no problem with a blind auction setup, but a month does seem a bit long. Will we be able to “cancel” an offer on one item if something we like better comes up? Or if some other financial crisis happens? Will it simply be offered to the next highest? Just some thoughts. 🙂
I really don’t think you guys will need a month… it seems a bit long. Maybe if you had more pieces as mentioned before. But I have a feeling most of us will probably miss listings because things will sell so fast. 😉

Here’s the other kirin. I’ve named him “Umeshu”. This one was an experiment. :bigsmile:
I had a pair of pink eyes and figured that if I didn’t paint something for them, I was never going to use them. LOL. This also gave me a chance to use colors I normally don’t use (pinks/lilac). I still went kinda dark on the fur, but I think it’s a nice contrast.
Also, all the paints are iridescent. I usually use a mix of regular, iridescent, and interference paints, but this guy is all shine and luster, even on the dark colors (the light just has to hit it right).
He has gold and a warm coppery color mixed with lilac and dark purples. I will be putting this guy up for sale soon (I need car repair monies).
EDIT: Up for sale until Sunday. 🙂

Here’s a commissioned kirin based off of “Umi”. She has some darker blue in her fur, a pink nose, and silver horn, hooves, and leg plates. She does have some creaminess to the light parts of her fur. She will be headed to her new home in a couple of days (when I get my car back… LOL). 🙂
And teal is so much harder than purple to photograph properly! >.<

I have yet another kirin I will be posting pics of soon, as well as 2 commissioned pups, and a phoenix in progress. I have another phoenix lined up after that, and then I will be closed for commissions for a bit. I need to finish the maltese before I take on anymore. Must… not… get… distracted… by… new… stuffs. LOL.
I thought I resized these… why are they so BIG? Stupid photobucket! :stare:

I thought I would show you guys some in-progress pics. Here is the beginning layout of color for the right side of the wing.
Left side – feathers in various stages of completion.
I painted this kirin while my power was out during the hurricane (there was nothing else to do). I used my husband’s forehead lamp so I could see. XD
Since I painted him in the dark and haunt season is starting up, I choose Halloween colors. I can’t wait to see my 13th Gate family again!! 🙂
