It’s the cutest dang card ever! 😀 The art is wonderful, but the chatter from the seagull had me laughing for half an hour. It arrived after a really hairy day at work, too. Thank you so much, Melody! You turned that yicky day right around and gave me back my holiday spirit. 😆

I am a great big chicken! 😳 That, and really short on time this past couple of years . . . I have a couple of chipped pieces that I plan to practice on before I tackle getting My Lady fixed, and I’ve finally accumulated the tools I think I’ll need. It’s just a matter of the time, now. I do have some paint that (hopefully) will let me match her colors. And goodness knows PYOs have at least taught me something about how to paint. So the groundwork has been laid, but the project remains to be properly begun.

Beautiful work on both! I adore the naturalistic way you handle fur on your unicorns anyway; here it’s translated so well onto the ki-rin, and the scales compliment the fur beautifully. I love the use of the blue interference, and the dots on the scales. And the eyes and belly on Verdigris are delightful! That’s such a rich color . . . makes me want to dollop it with whipped cream. (Okay, somebody needs to go get some dinner. ;))

Seriously, though, it’s wonderful that you were able to find (make?) eyes that worked so well with the rest of the paint job on him. They really make the greens pop. 🙂

The update is appreciated! 🙂 I’m looking forward to seeing more PYOs too.

He looks like his photo should be captioned: “ANGRY!!” 😉
Reminds me of the very rainy day I was biking across campus and cut along the path above the creek, only to discover a large red crawdad square in the middle of the path, lunging at the bicycle! He was not amused either. 😆

Oh jeez, another griffin with those freaking glorious wing markings! I hope you do more of these–they’re simply stunning! Love the patterning and colors! 😀

The Hatching Empress is here! She looks great, and you did a fantastic job of packing her! The photo you took of the ding on her horn was absolutely accurate; frankly it looks less severe in person than it did in the picture. Thanks again! 🙂

I sure wish I had a picture of this! A co-worker recently told me about a prank she and her friends pulled a couple of weeks ago. Seems that late one night they got into the control unit for one of those construction signs and reprogrammed it to say,

    “ZOMBIES AHEAD–DRIVE WITH CAUTION”

in reply to: Searching hopelessly for a Small Grey Tabby Flap Cat? #794077

Reportedly a PYO flap cat is on the “someday” list at Windstone: no release date yet or even a sculpt that I know of, but Melody is aware that lots of folks would love to see a flap cat that they can customize. Maybe this helps a little?

I know that when the Dark Calico Flap Cats went on eBay, I had to sit on my hands to keep from spending money I didn’t have. They looked a lot like our poor little Jin-Yo.

When our local collectibles store closed, I snagged their big hanging display card. It has a picture of the Wizard Cat on one side and one of the Circle of Cats candlelamps on the other. They thought I was a little odd to ask for it, but it saved them having to toss it in the dumpster. It’s hanging on my wall now. Periodically I reverse it. 😉

Oh, I love the little fang . . . and the cheetah “tearstains”, and the cant to the horns and ears. That’s super cute! 😀

That’s very nice neat barring on the wings, and I like the way you painted the underwing coverts as well. He’s coming along beautifully!

😮 Oh, he’s spectacular! You got a lot of depth into his color and it looks extremely nice! Particularly fine work on those facial markings, BTW, and the way you shaded the blue and russet on his head and neck. Well done! 🙂

I missed these, drat it. Wonder if there may be more in the future? They looked very nice in the photos; I’m curious to see photos of the ones that people receive.

in reply to: HELP! Mother coiled egg problem #793667

Ah, baking soda paste! Thanks, kitsunelady, I had forgotten about that. Regarding sealing the site: I wonder if anyone at the factory has experimented with shellac or Permalac on the electroplated items? I wouldn’t mind doing something to protect the “weak spots” but I wonder if there’s any risk of creating a new problem.
