December 25th is the ten year anniversary of my beautiful Mackeral Tabby cat Spike’s death and as a memorial I am trying to find a Small Grey Tabby Flap Cat to add to my altar in her memory.
I know Flap Cats are some of the hardest to find (I was given the matched pair of Black Flap Cats as a birthday gift when they first came out) and they are probably the most expensive but my Spike looked just like this figure, even down to the little white paws and matching blue collar, and I like to think she is my guardian angel.
If anyone has one they could bear to part with, or knows where I might find one, any help would be most appreciated. I’ve never even seen one on ebay *sighs in frustration*
Reportedly a PYO flap cat is on the “someday” list at Windstone: no release date yet or even a sculpt that I know of, but Melody is aware that lots of folks would love to see a flap cat that they can customize. Maybe this helps a little?
I know that when the Dark Calico Flap Cats went on eBay, I had to sit on my hands to keep from spending money I didn’t have. They looked a lot like our poor little Jin-Yo.
A PYO flap cat would be wonderful (altho, I could never do quite as lovely a job as the original) 🙂

Lots of us are hoping for the PYO flap cats. I can’t paint worth a lick, but we have many wonderful artists on here that offer commissions. 😉

Oh, that would be wonderful, I’m sure someone could do her beautiful colours justice for me if the PYO Flap Cats ever became available :O
I would love to get one in green as well (since it’s my favourite colour)

I feel your pain River Song….*sigh* Some of them leave a hole in your heart that can never be filled.
I don’t think Melody is working on new sculpts right now. I think she is busy painting. We remind her every once in a while, though.
😀Even after ten years, it still hurts so much, I can’t even look at my photo album or even think about her without feeling like my heart is breaking all over again 🙁
Whenever I look at pictures of her I start crying (that’s my hand in the picture above, I had to sleep on a camp bed in the living room for six weeks while my room was being renovated and she slept right there beside me on a tiny little single person camp bed the whole time, she never left my side (she also liked to drink out of my glass of water when I wasn’t looking)
