I totally understand where you are, but unfortunetly, I have no real good advice. I haven’t even been able to figure things out for myself. The past year, my interest in everything I used to love from, hobbies, to friends, to crafts has vanished. I have a stable job, that mostly pays the bills, but my heart’s gone out of the job due to issues there. And when I had money troubles at the beginning of the year, I had sell around half my windstones, and dolls. Ikn order to not feel so bad about it, had to break emotional ties to those hobbbies. But now that we’re okay again, the ties haven’t come back, and the threat of another disaster seems to always loom. My depression is treated, but that doesn’t make it feel any better, and recently losses have been devastating to my family.
The few things that my therapist and I have come up with is that with depression you have to try and accept it, like any other illness, cause fighting it takes too much energy? Sometimes this helps, sometimes not. And to keep busy and keep trying. Every day is different and you never know what day will be the one that you “wake: back up to interest again. I only say, don’t give up, and don’t lose sight that each day might be the next greaat day. My brother in law couldn’t see this and he killed himself in April. We didn’t even see it coming. But there are LOTS of local groups, lie your local health deparment that offer free or reduced cost counselling. If the despair becomes overwheling, I beg gthat you look into them, and find help, and don’t give up!!!!

Hmm. I know that a lot goes on here that I don’t see, but I’ve been a member here for years, and no one has ever sent me a nasty/threatening or bullying pm. In fact, out of all the forums that I am a member of, this one has the nicest and most thoughtful people. That’s unpleasant to here that people here might not be as nice as they seem.

We’re hoping that the special program she’s in now (she was taken completely out of school, and is being schooled through the program, which is also a mental health rehab) will help so she won’t ahve to be committed. And her parents tried to stop things by cutting off her facebook, and limiting cell hpone use, but the other girls who were cruel were terribly creative. And even when I was in school, before cell phones and internet, kids found a way to bully. Parents of the bullied children do try to help, but only if they know it’s going on. I think as a society, though, we’ve lost a lot of our empathy due to the facelessness that the internet and cell phones provide. People are just losing touch with other people.

I’m so sorry for you! There’s really nothing to say because we love animals as much as any family member and it breaks our hearts to lose them. At least he was loved and spoiled. And please think about getting some counselling if it is too hard to cope! And maybe someday another ferret who needs you will choose you too.

My husband and I were both horribly bullied as children. In my case, it was only because I was the tallest kid in class, and my family wasn’t wealthy. It left a lot of “scars”. My neice by adoption is 14 years old, and I found out about a month ago that she literally had a pyschotic break, and may have to be comitted. she had a depressive disorder, and was literally tortured by the girls at her schoool, because she’s asian. they went after her on facebook, in school, through texting…everything. And now my husband and I are terrified that our son will be bullied when he reaches school because he has nystagmus. I don’t understand why people, especially children are so cruel, but I think a lot of it comes from what their parents aree or aren’t teaching them. And I truly beleive that children under a certain age should NOT have access to cell phones or social internet sites until they are old enough to understand that what you say to people, not matter how and where you say it HURTS and can linger!

Sylvan was mine, once, but I had to sell him during some financial troubles. The girl who originally had pink champagne lap dragon (I think she was gthe new year’s raffle once) decided she was going to re-raffle her off for charity, and I have her now. And the girl who originally won Augustus traded him to me for a bunch of my other windstones, so there’s 3 accounted for, although none of them are with their original winners anymore. And Wampus still has the one she won, I think. I remeber that buckskin the unicorn ended up being re-raffled as well, but cannot remember who won him the 2nd time. And somewhere on here there’s a list of the raffles and who won what initially.

A few pieces still for sale. Most of the pieces have some minor damage, fleabites, etc. I’ve tried to note/take pictures of this. However most of them have been repaired, some so well I cannot recall where they were damaged to begin with. We can talk about prices, but most of them I’d like to get around what they sold for. I do not have a lot of original boxes, but I’m happy to double box, or whatever you require. Thanks for looking. 🙁

UPDATE: At this point I am also willing to trade some of these remaining pieces for rainbow colored dragons that I do not have, as I can now sort of afford to replace some of my dragons. Here’s some pics of my newest PYO, the Mika Wolf. I painted it to look like my siamese cat mika, who is a much darker than normal siamese cat. It came out a little darker than I wanted, though. Want to redo her someday. My second wolf. 🙂
