Does anyone here on the Windstone forum read or write fanfiction? I confess that reading the creations of fellow enthusiasts has recently become something of a guilty pleasure of mine. 😳 What were the best works of fanfiction, poetry, or parody that you’ve ever read? They can correspond to anything from books and films, to games, TV shows, cartoons, anime, comics, plays, and musicals. Only share what you want to of course, but if this subject is of interest to you, let’s hear it!

in reply to: Which Photo-sharing Site Should I Use? #816347

I want to be able to share my own photos on this forum, but I would first need to join an online photo-sharing website in order to do this. Which one have you found to be the best? Thanks.

    in reply to: Hippogriffs! #816335

I do hope that you don’t abandon your hippogriff concept entirely Melody. Perhaps one day you’ll finish a hippogriff family complete with little foals. Considering how popular your griffins and “hoofers” are, if you were to complete work on a creature that combines their features and color patterns, I’m sure you’d have an item which would sell itself. Who wouldn’t want a zorse or a quagga hippogriff? Some forum members got excited when I mentioned dragoncats and hippogriffs (you could post pics of your dragoncat sculpt here  ) and so I figured that a new thread was in order. I also have a concept for a new type of raffle that I want to run by you via e-mail first before I start setting up polls about it. By the way, is your phoenix going to be produced exclusively as a PYO?

(Zebra hippogriff by *dynamo-xr at deviantart.com) — Now that’s what I’m talking about!

(Hippogriff sketch by ~koffeekeg at deviantart.com) — Beautiful lines!

(“Fullbody Rainbow Hippogriff” by ~koffeekeg at deviantart.com)

    (“+Blueberry+” by =Shivita at deviantart.com)

(Hippogriff sketch by *LadyScourgE at deviantart.com) — Nice feet.

(Hippogriff drawing by ~Alecat at deviantart.com) — I like this hoof concept too.

(Hippogriff with feather mane by =Lintufriikki at deviantart.com)

(An elegant, lion-tailed hippogriff sketch by ~Maszeattack at deviantart.com)

I love the idea of the hippogriff having front legs that are articulated in the same way as a horse’s; it could have the skin of an eagle on the front limbs, but with cloven hooves that resemble talons on them. Or it could have a mane of feathers. The shape of the cranium and the line of the neck on your sculpt is really neat. 🙂

    (“Zippogriff” griffin-zebra hybrid by =Aki–Tenraku at deviantart.com)

(A bald eagle hippogriff with cloven rear hooves by ~xlagartixax at deviantart.com)

I hope that this thread prompts some interesting discussions, and I might post more art. Personally, I’m very fond of dragoncats, and I would love to see your dragoncat sculpt Melody. Let me know if you’d like to hear about my idea for a new type of raffle.

in reply to: Diet Chips That Actually Taste Good #816321

These are Kettle Brand baked chips in hickory honey barbeque. They are made from slices of real potato (not potato flakes) and they have 65% less fat than regular potato chips naturally. (3g of fat per serving) They’re the best low-fat chips that I’ve come across so far. So good…

Awwwwww! This topic should be rated C for obscene levels of cuteness! 😀

in reply to: Creatures/Petz/Sims/Video Games #816287

Did anyone here ever play this game or one of it’s sequels? (They were for the PC) I’m pretty sure that the first game, Creatures 1, was released in 1996.

    Creatures 1

    Creatures 2

    Creatures 3

Does who teach? Do you mean Amber of SweetAmb’s? She’s a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, lives in Chicago, and runs an online Etsy store. (Which currently isn’t accepting orders) That is all I know. I’m discovering all these treats for the first time myself. 🙂

Bitter Apple is still made, I used to sell it a lot. You should be able to get it at most chain pet shops, or online.

Unfortunately, my cat actually likes the stuff (dumb, dumb cat). We sprayed the stereo wires and he sniffed, shook his head and then started chewing. 🙄
That’s why I use Windex; every cat is different. When my Siberian husky Balto was a puppy, he used to chew the tops of the soda and Gatorade bottles that I stored in the corner of my kitchen. I tried everything, but I couldn’t get him to stop. So one day, I smeared some Tabasco sauce on the sealed bottle tops, and then went shopping. Now it may sound cruel, but I put down a huge bowl of water before I left. When I returned the water was gone, and he never chewed anything that I stored in the kitchen after that.

Yes, I know. 8) It’s ultra-smooth, no sandy texture. Though dark chocolate is my absolute favorite type of chocolate, Lindt makes a white chocolate bar with sliced coconut. I’ve got to try that! *drools*
