Awwww, That little pink valentine Fledgie is SO cute!!! *Gush*
I know! *whimpers because she’ll be out of my price range FAST*
The over 10 day bump. Still holding out hope and somehow standing up to other temptations…like GB unis… LOL
Doesn’t ebay’s rules give you 4 days to pay for things? That seller has “must pay within 24 hours or items will be relisted” on their page. Snorted when I saw that. No thanks!
If it’s buy it now, I think they can require 24 hours…possibly even immediate payment.
Now a brightly-colored “custom painted” Guardian Dragon Gargoyle has been listed (by a different seller).
That one might be something worth reporting to Windstone. The description doesn’t make it at all clear that this was NOT painted by a Windstone painter, whereas the Pegasus is very specific about that.
Definitely tempered glass, but as to size: I know we have a very good glass shop here that is happy to make recommendations on stuff like this. If it were me, I’d weigh out the dragons on each shelf, then take those numbers & a pic of the shelf supports in to the shop. Ask for their advice; I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to help you get what you need.
Ooh, it’s a lovely paint job. I hope hope hope he was super banged up, to justify repainting a Grand Peg… he’s seriously beautiful though.
I know; I noticed him a few days ago and thought she’d done a phenomenal job. Hopefully it was somehow a necessary one, and at least they’re not trying to pass it off as somehow in original condition.
Thanks for remembering, Wolfen, it sounds terrific!
OOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooo! Midnight Gold is awesome!! <3 I just love anything on a Spectral!
Spectrals aren’t my favorites, but I LOVE that color scheme so much, I’ve been tempted to blow my CP Lap budget trying to get my hands on that one. Would love to see this scheme in other sculpts.
Weeellll, we’re officially flooded in. Just got back after a short investigative drive down the main road (that leads off/on the island) and the road ended and there was just water. Water on either side of the road; it all looked like one big lake.
Haven’t seen it like this in a few years. I doubt we’ll be going anywhere tomorrow morning. Maybe by the afternoon? Not sure. Either way, we have plenty of beer in the house.
Beer, toilet paper, and cat food is all you need to survive. And you can live without toilet paper.
Our cats would have fits if we ate their food. LOL
We just got through more snow & ice than I’ve seen in 20 years of living in the Seattle area. Over two days without power (and o beer), after three days of not being able to leave the house due to the ice–living high up is great on the flooding aspect, not so much so when the white stuff turns your hillside into a toboggan run.
After two days without power in 30° temps, I’d add a wood stove (and plenty of wood) to that list!
We’re fine, just assessing tree damage and digging out. And replacing everything in the fridge…
Hope everything’s still OK-ish down your way!
Excellent work! I really need to go look at the tutorials and see if I can get up the nerve to try one of these myself.
Haha, I never even SAW that one and I watch the ebay auctions daily.
Yes, I’d say that was super lucky to whomever got him.
I check them multiple times daily (watching for that pesky copper lap) and I still find when I check completed listings that some Buy It Nows are gone before I ever see them. It drives me up a wall…why can’t I have that kind of luck? and it scares the heck out of me that I’m going to miss my lap dragon like that one of these days.
Anyway, good to know on the Autumn Leaf. The Blue Pearl is the most important of the three, as that one is for her dragon-crazy little girl.
Thanks, kiya, I thought you might have info on these!
Hmm…perhaps this was a desperation sale then:
That one went for $65 a month ago. Good to know if that’s a lucky find versus an average price.
*sniffles & sighs* No copper lap from the store then anytime soon, I guess.
January 12, 2012 at 10:01 pm in reply to: Koishii and Grayfire New Combo Sunset Moth keeper!!! Pg# 3 #868971He came out just stunning, and I hope you two get a good price on him. He’s just a beauty, and if I wasn’t hoarding my cash for that blasted copper lap, I’d be bidding on him myself.
Fingers crossed for you to have a fabulous auction!
Dealt with her, no. Talked with her, yes. I wanted to see she had a CP Lap hidden in her collection (which she didn’t). Seemed like a nice enough person, communication was very prompt. Checking the “completed sales” for Windstone, she’s already done at least one transaction, for the pink lap dragon. So while the “negotiations” are going on offstage, as it were, the actual transactions appear to be going through ebay.
As Wampus said, it’s against the rules. But I’ve seen this sort of thing happening more and more on ebay, where there are “reserved for” auctions and other oddities that don’t quite fit the traditional ebay mold.
Personally, not judging on right or wrong, just on potential earnings, I think she would have done better financially to list and sell them individually in the normal way. Some of those critters would probably have been bid up to higher than she took for them. But who’s to say?
