Loved it, we’ll definitely be getting that on DVD. Though there were some huge plot holes, the action was the best π I tend to think too much at the movies.
Yeh, I have to admit the action was great. I didn’t care too much for it though, which suprised all my friends because I was looking for it to come out sooo much. I guess I’m too much of a purist. Kinda disappointing they changed the characters so much. I know whats good looking on paper, or cartoons don’t translate into live-action film, but still at least make Bumblebee a frickin bug! Also, I really liked the FIRST half of the movie, but the second half crapped out for me as far as the plot. It’s as if they had one person wrote the beginning and the other ended it without consulting each other. Maybe the extra IMAX 7 mins is KEY! π
Kinda cool how threads evolve…form the brown emperor to mermaid nipples…not that I’m complaining…you can guess which one I’d rather have in my hot little hands….
….why the brown emperor of course! π―

Can you send me their sale info also. I just got on their mailing list 2 days ago…and haven’t had word about the sale…
Nambroth wrote:Indeed, it’s best not to get them wet if you can avoid it, and store them in low humidity areas. Now, some of us more daring folk have used a slightly damp cloth for very persistent dust, but if possible it’s best to just dry dust/clean them. π
The first generations of rubies are more prone to these problems it seems. The problem is that there is no way to tell them apart, so it’s best to be careful with all ruby dragons. π
So is it just first generation rubies or all Windstone that has problems with water? Also on the subject of damage control, does being in direct sunlight effect them?

If you look up at the top of the page you will see a pull down box marked Type. The choices in it are All, Special, Non Mint and Mint. If you choose Mint you can find the scrather in white. π
Thanks! That was super helpful!!! π
VERY CUTE LITTLE GRIFFINS BTW!!!!
So Windstones aren’t waterproof? Not that I will be taking a shower with mine but I’ve cleaned some with water before, and nothing happened to the paint job. Dont they put some kind of “sealent” to the paint job so it won’t get messed up by water? I live in Houston, and sometimes I do hot power yoga in the same room I store Windstones. Will the humidity damage them? Im cringing now… π
pegasi1978 wrote:DROGO wrote:Hey guys! I really like a white scratcher! How much do they usually run in mint in box condition? Just wondering if the $350 BIN price was somewhat close, not that I will be able to afford it… π₯
Thanks to ravnheart’s online database that has the averages already figured out I can tell you easier that there have been 6 mint (may have box or not) white scratchers since last October. High was $222.50, low was $140.55. Average is $185.27 so $350 is a bit on the high side.

I’d love to have one or more of those! I too have lots of valuable first editions, but I keep them (at the moment) in boxes so I don’t have to protect them from dust and light. Problem is that I didn’t label the boxes well. This plays havoc with my re-reading, which tends to be what I find, rather than what I am looking for.
Check estate sales around your area. I ONLY buy on the last day…and sometimes I luck out. My barraster is “supposedly” from the late 1800’s. The hardware on them is awesome. It’s only one level, but has 4 drawers inderneath. My wife stores her photography collection in it.

DROGO wrote:Yeh, right now they are in the bookcase I store my first editions. It’s kinda dark in there, so I can hardly see them…especially my BG OW…I just see his blue eyballs hovering…kinda creepy:)
My vote is: Go for the curio!
I don’t know what it is about book-cases, but they seem to attract dust. That’s okay on books; you can just slam them together once a year. If you try that with Windstones you’d be crying.
So on a bookshelf you need to keep your Windstones regularly dusted. Every time you pick up a statue to dust it you are taking the risk of dropping it or otherwise damaging it. If you don’t dust it the dust will eventually become chemically attached to the paint, at which point you may have to lick it off (I’m not kidding. Look up how to clean the surface of an acrylic painting. OK, I am kidding about you actually cat-washing your Windstones, but the principle is sound nontheless).
An enclosed curio cabinet is the ideal place for your Windstones. Buy two similar ones if you can get a good deal. Eventually you’ll need two.
…but I cat-lick my Windstones all the time…oh, thats not normal…nevermind… π³
Speaking of crashing glass shelves though, I’m kinda paranoid about putting my Windstones on glass shelves now, especially the heavy pieces. Here’s why: just a couple of months ago (before the Windstone maddness)I was transfering my collection of Lord of the Rings busts into a “new” curio. Suddenly, I hear a loud CRACK sound! Luckly I was just right there when a line through the middle of the shelf appeared out of nowhere, and I propped the shelf up with my forearm just as it collapsed with all the busts on it! If you have glass shelves make sure you know what weight they will support from the manufacturer, and do not overload, but always load less then their limit! π― I must admit cringing when I see some of your collections in the curios π
I’ve also had an entire bookshelf fall on me because it wasn’t secured to the wall, and being a dumbass I loaded the upper shelves first! π
Castle, my bookshelves have doors on them. One is a barraster, and another is REALLY cool looking one that I got for cheap! It’s from the late30’s early 40’s. I have to take care of my books because they’re mostly signed first editions, and a number are more valuable than the SK’s! Just this last weekend I found a first edition, first state James and the Giant Peach! π

No need to search I have one!!
Are you thinking of selling yours DM? No, he just likes to point out that he has, like, 8 emperor dragons, to include the old brown… which is like the Holy Grail of Windstones. He is very proud. Thats alot of Emperors.
Not really bragging or pointing it out. I’m really worried I may have to sell some things soon and I do not know if that will even help right now. I would start with my FM dragons before my Windstones. Windstone was my first passion. Yes I have all of the first 8 Emperor’s but everyone here already knew that or most did at least. They are on the first show your Windstone Collection page 19. If things do nto pick up I may need to turn my car in and make it thru some winters with just a motorcycle which is NASTYDamn dude! That’ll suck! Yeh but sell your Franklin mint ones first! I have a few also, and they just dont compare to Melody’s. Good luck though… π

Melody, forget about Oregon! Come to Houston, you can use my house as a warehouse, for a long as you want, free of charge!…really! π
