ow whine, had to have a CT scan for testing to be a candidate for hubby’s kidney donor today…..well as I’ve said before, I have no visible veins in my arm so it means I have to normally have blood drawn from my hands….so this is normally fine but they needed to put in an IV  and well long story short, that doesn’t seem to work for me after being poked in like 4 different places in my hands…they finally found a vein deep in my arm that worked but owwwwwww!

      4 things I'm looking for:
      1. Mother Meerkat
      2. production color Sitting Young Oriental dragons to be made in more colors besides VF, Brimstone would be awesome!

They stuck me a ton in my hands when I had surgery last month. My hands up ended up completely bruised. It is NOT any fun. Hugs. I hope you get good news about donating to your husband!

Pooh. Woke up Tuesday night with bad nausea etc., which kept getting worse. There was a cramp in the upper right quadrant that flared across the lower ribcage too, but nausea trumps pain. I worked Wednesday, but wasn’t able to Thursday (I’m caregiving an elderly woman and they didn’t want to risk it was contagious). Gave up on the nausea Friday morning, went to the e.r., and my gallbladder had blown out. They got it out that afternoon, and I got home this afternoon. The hospital and staff were great and it went very well, though being on anticoagulants (have a clotting disorder) means my arms/hands and belly look like I got into a disagreement with a porcupine wielding a paring knife. That’s really a heck yeah, but pooh because I only got 2 days work in last week and have already been told not to come in tomorrow and maybe even the next day. Can’t afford the time off, one of the prescriptions they want me to take is $700!! not going to happen, and the followups except with my 1 doctor (great  hematologist) won’t either since don’t have insurance. Why can’t there be affordable medical care? Not looking forward to bills coming in. Plus car started acting up last week, can’t get it checked out atm. Oh well.

Sorry for your loss Suzanne-Marie. Losing a pet is unbareable. No words can completely ease your pain, but I wish you the best in these difficult times. Time is the only thing that can heal.

Pipsxlch: So sorry you’re going through a difficult time as well. I can relate to the gallbladder loss. A few years ago mine essentially died. I thought my abdomen was going to explode. It took the doctors 3 months to figure out what was wrong! Wishing you a speedy and safe recovery. I hope a way to get the bills and other obstacles worked out will turn up for you soon.

Well, it seems I didn’t make the cut at work so I’m already out of a job. There’s a fine line between ruining the product and trimming it perfectly. I don’t have depth perception, so that didn’t help. Just as well I guess. My hands looked like they’d been slammed in a car door a few times, felt like they were severely sunburned because I was unable to touch anything without pain, and they were shaking badly by the end of the 12 hour shift. It’s very disappointing. I needed this to work out, badly. I’ll have to start the job search all over again.

Eck, Tyson! So sorry you had to endure that job. I couldn’t imagine.

I was tire trimming and throwing various size vehicle tires. I ruined so many tires by over-trimming, which was easy to do. We wore fingerless gloves because we had to feel the tire and trim it with a cruddy hand tool while it was spinning fast. The shaver kept getting caught on a thick piece of rubber and pulled from my hands. Uh, the smell in that place…it was hard not to gag the whole night. My thumb is still numb. You’re right. Move onward and upward. Just as well it didn’t work out I suppose.

Good Gosh! Sounds like a great way to loose a hand, if not a finger!
Hope you find a much better job than that one! Good Luck!

Oh man those jobs sound brutal!  Dragoneer_88, sorry to hear the job didn’t work out but maybe it’s for the best so you can find something better where you won’t hurt your hands and have to smell tires all day which could make you sick!

Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!

Sorry for the rough times Dragoneer_88, but as others have said, that job doesnt sound like a good one for long term or short term health anyhow.

Hopefully you will find something better soon.

Oh Bodine, I am very sorry for you and your families loss.

Your Uncle was right about it being rare to accomplish all that you want to do in life. It sounds as if he was very blessed to be able to do so and that you were all blessed to have him in your lives, showing you how many things were possible.

Always remember that your loved ones are always with you even when you cant see them.

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs
