Yes I did! 😀 And it’s got a very nice lineage too, just one tiny hiccup in there, but I’m planning to breed it back on track.

I still haven’t managed to get either black or nebula caveborns though! 😐

I’ll be clearing out all my eggs tonight (they are hatching) so I can try for Christmas dragons tomorrow!

Added: I would trade both the caveborn white egg and a caveborn two-headed egg for a black dragon egg/hatchling or a nebula egg/hatchling.

I might even throw in one or two “uncommon” eggs/hatchlings for good measure!

I just managed to grab a Vampire Dragon Egg, and I would like to trade him for either a caveborn Black Dragon egg, or a caveborn Nebula Dragon egg.

It really is!

At first, I was pretty much taking any egg and seeing what would come out, but the more I read about them the more my preferences narrow.

I have a strong preference for caveborns because I’d like to start my own purebred bloodlines. Also, I prefer the dragons that have a different sprite for male and female, although I do currently have several that have undifferentiated sprites, I may free them eventually. And the uncommons or rares are fun to have because they’re harder to get. And of course there’s the ones that have special powers.

Right now, I’m after caveborn Nebulas, Blacks and Striped.

But just as info for eveyone interested:

My Green Dino currently has about 5 days until it grows up (2.5 days to hatch and 3 days to grow up), so in that time, if you could manage to get your hands on a female influenced pink egg or hatchling that would still be my first choice, otherwise, my preferences would go to (caveborns only) Nebula, Striped Dragon or Black Dragon, or another rare.

I may become more flexible as it nears maturity, but in the meantime that’s my shopping list! :bigsmile:

*flabberghasted* what’s not to like LOVE? He’s tiny, cute, round/smooth and a Windstone…AND affordable! Ive always loved the look of Maya Hill’s figures, but I have always wished she did Animals. This Fox is perfect for what Ive imagined. I’m hoping for a rainbow of colors (and would be happy with solid black and solid white like Maya Hill’s figures too)

I showed him to my boyfriend Josh and like all of us squee, he screeched, “SATELLITE FOX!!! ^.^” I was all, “huh??” and Josh cupped his hands, put them up by his ears and moved them back and forth, making beeping sounds LOL! He likes Mr.Fennec’s big ears.

SAY! Melody, a “nebula” or “star” or “satellite” fox would be cute! Maybe for ebay….

If you want to get a specific color, and the ability to pick it out finding that ‘one’ piece that’s perfect for you…buy a production, lp, or ebay uni. As it is the trade/swap threads are a fantastic way for the unis to shuffle around between collectors.

I agree, I think when people get really set in wanting just one specific unicorn that’s when issues arise. I mean sometimes it works out, Ashley did find the spotted unicorn to match Nebula. I think for the most part people on the forum have been pretty chill about maybe not getting the exact one they wanted (for example lots of people wanted the one calico, or the blue one with white face) and as long as people have that attitude I think things are fine. I haven’t seen anyone act rudely or demanding to get the exact one out of a hundred they wanted, people are looking yes but not being rude. (Then again, I can’t see what goes on in PM’s, lol)

Taking the picture off would indeed reduce the craziness for the unicorns but I love seeing the picture. And I think it’s fun to see the variety.

I don’t know if I agree with the original post about making several of each type. There have been, for example, lots of palominos, buckskins, bay pintos, black pintos, and grey appaloosas. I think Melody’s done well to make lots of each type so that people who hate appaloosas can still find one they like, or people who hate pintos can. I like that some of them are totally one of a kind and odd, like the one young with red eyes.

I think in the end, the way the system is works. The surprise of getting a random one is really thrilling, and even stalking the store for them is sort of thrilling too. 🙂

So the very nice Ladyfirebird here on the forum sent me two Keepers with two very interesting themes.

The first one is the Guardian of Deep Space. A female dragon that travels the far reaches of Galaxies, forming Nebula, Novas, and Black Holes.
This lady is not finished yet, but I thought I would share her progress. She has a clear coat as part of the process I am using to provide an much more appealing affect for the theme. She is having the same treatment as Spectrolite.

I sent Xtharsa a Muse and this photo for inspiration

And here’s what she came up with. The Muse arrived safely, and she did an awesome job. A lot went into this painting this little critter. I love how the colors are bold in some areas, mellow in others, and how it all goes together.

The photos here are a little overexposed due to lighting so they don’t quite do it justice, (the background is black, in real life the Muse is a little softer looking) but it still shows the idea.
