      This probably is related to the store problems last night. The “Track Your Order” tab on the “Shop” page under My Account worked properly.

      However, the tabs labeled “Orders”, “Downloads”, “Addresses”, “Payment Methods” and “Account Details” do not work.

      Each of them gave me the same message:

      “Oops! That page can’t be found.

      Nothing was found at this location. Try searching, or check out the links below.”

      It turns out this was caused by a bug in the software. They just released (and I installed) a new version that fixes the issue. It’s working again in my testing, but let me know if you still have trouble.

          So this is an issue for me, but only when on my iphone. When I go to any category of items for sale (Dragons, grab bags, etc) only the first page is visible. If there are multiple pages, I can’t get to them. The clickable page numbers/arrows are missing. Like I said, this only occurs for me on my iphone X, and it works fine on my computer.

          I have this issue on my laptop at home, where I usually use an old version of Safari. If I use Chrome, which is more up to date, it’s okay.

          This is almost certainly a caching issue. Your browsers are probably loading an old version from cache. Please try clearing your browser cache, and then let me know if it’s not fixed.

          Safari desktop: Go to Safari > Preferences > Privacy and click the “manage website data” button. Select “windstoneeditions.com” and click the “remove” button.

          Safari iPhone: go to Settings > Safari and click “clear history and website data”

            OK, so here’s the story with PMs…

            There are 2 foolproof ways to send a PM:

            (1) Click the “private message” button on a user’s profile or on the Members List page

            (2) Reply to an existing PM conversation

            IF you compose a new PM from your own profile/PM dashboard, you must enter the person’s USERNAME (the name they log in with), which is not always the same as their name that is displayed publicly. For example, my username is “wstone” but my name is displayed publicly as “Clay.” If you compose a new PM to me, wstone will work, but Clay will not.

            So, if you enter a username and get an error message after clicking SEND, go to their profile (you can search for them on the Member’s List page in the Community dropdown menu). You will see a Private Message button right there on the Member’s List, so you don’t have to go to their profile page.

            As far as I know, this is the way it has always been. If anyone has evidence that this is a new issue, please let me know. In the meantime, I will see if it’s possible to customize the PM plugin to eliminate this issue.

              I am looking into the PM issue right now. Has anyone else had a problem sending PMs?

              I was able to send PMs to Susie and to a testing account that I set up, but not to Bodancia. So this may be a problem with Bodancia’s account rather than with the PM system. I don’t want to bother people with test PMs, but if anyone (other than Bodancia) has a minute, please try sending me a PM. Thanks!

                Hey Clay. Just noticed that you have made the font color red, when you are entering the body of a new email message to someone. Yikes! Boy, is Red hard to see clearly! Would you mind changing the color to yellow or aqua or some other color that will contrast a little better. Thanks!

                I didn’t intentionally make it red. Not sure how that happened, but I’ll take a look.

                Fixed now. This was caused by a recently installed update.

                    AAAAACK! You removed the number of notifications, too! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE put that back. It’s annoying to have to go to the messages page just to find out if I have any new ones.

                    I will be working on this today. But you should receive an email whenever you have a new PM.

                      are the classifieds still being entered manually by you, Clay? I have two expiring tomorrow and I haven’t gotten the option to renew them emails….

                      I haven’t gotten emails ahead of time, but I got expiration notices on my most recent two to expire.

                      You don’t need the notices to renew anymore. Select “Windstone Editions” from the menu bar upper left, then select “Dashboard” (only selection). From the dashboard, “Ad Management” is second from bottom.

                      Actually we’re removing the dashboard access for now, as it’s creating some security issues. The expired ad notices don’t seem to have the issue that the “ad expiring soon” messages had (sending multiple times), so for now you should use the links in the expired ad emails to renew them. Let me know if you have any trouble doing this.

                        I like the pink too! I did notice when I was creating a Classified Ad that when you are in a field, it turns white, and the font is also white! So you can’t see what you typed until you Tab out of the field. That is a little challenging! LOL

                        Glad you all like the pink links. I do think they’re much easier on the eyes (and more attractive) than the purple. But pink is not for everyone, so we’ll see what the consensus is. Thanks for pointing out that Classifieds issue——it’s fixed now. Please let me know of any other issues that come up.

                          This is a compliment, not a concern – we can again search for dragons by color. Thank you!

                          Yes, it’s not exactly a search, but there’s a page now of all the dragon color families, with swatches. We’ve also added a link to that page in the main navigation, along with links to In-Stock Dragons and In-Stock Products so that you can just browse what’s currently available if you want to. Those links have not yet been added to the mobile menu (that you would see when visiting the site on your phone) because I’m condsidering how best to add them without creating a ridiculously long mobile menu.                             Has anyone else been getting too many email notifications for their classified ads about to expire? I got 72 email notifications in the last couple days ago and another 54 today.

                            Yes, I know of at least 3 others who’ve had that issue lately. I’ve tried a few things to solve it, but clearly it’s still happening. I’m going to have to turn off those notifications altogether while I troubleshoot. In the meantime I will do my best to notify everyone manually when their ads are about to expire.

                              Can we please get rid of the blue pop up that is announcing a random email from someone?

                              Also can we please increase the size limit of the pictures we can attach to posts to 1000K or like the same size limit as the classified ad pictures?

                              Upload limit is now 1MB for both classifieds and forum attachments. But anyone who knows how to reduce image file sizes, PLEASE do it. There’s really no need for any of these images to be more than 200K at the most. The huge image files bog down the site, so we may have to reduce that maximum file size at some point.

                                Clay, I’ve had the same problem with the drop down, but not quite as bad I think. I’m on an iPad. Also, the options for the pictures doesn’t show up for me if the picture is too large. I have to make mine smaller first (about 40% usually) before I get the option to insert.

                                Thank you for pointing this out. This may well be the problem that GardenNinja is having as well. If you try to upload an image that is too large, you will not see the “insert into content” link, and will instead see a “remove this file” link and a message stating that the maximum allowed file size for uploads is 512K. This limit can be adjusted, but there’s really no need for forum images to be larger than about 150K. Posting huge image files will slow down our site considerably, so I’d really like to keep that limit at 512K if possible.

                                  Maybe it’s the tablet I’m using, but recently I’ve had a problem getting to any section from the home page. The drop down menu opens no problem, but it only wants to open the ‘About’ page, no matter what I tap on or how quickly. (it has always gone to that page if I don’t tap the wanted one quickly enough) This gets irritating quickly, sometimes taking 20 tries to open the desired page. Is it me, my device, or the website? I don’t have this problem anywhere except trying to open pages from the drop down menu here.

                                  Sorry for the difficulty; that’s the first I’ve heard about this issue. I will be updating some things next week, which will include a new dropdown mobile menu, so hopefully that will fix it. In the meantime, there is also a menu of links in the footer, which might be easier for you than the dropdown menu.
