…for the parents. I’ve been seeing them go for under $100 each.As far as repairs, there are a few good repair artists here. I’d recommend Drag0nfeathers. She has repaired LOTS of pieces with severe damage. I haven’t seen one in person, but from the photos, I think they look PERFECT.

I’m not sure if she is accepting new projects. I’ll bet if you asked her how to do it yourself, she’d tell you. I was just reading a few days ago about someone with a stone piece like your Grimalkin that was damaged and Drag0nfeathers said the stone pieces are easiest to fix. I’ll have to try and find the thread.Here’s my two cents. :3
I am going to help my mom sell some old books and magazines on ebay later this month, and I am sure I’ll hear something all too personal from some stranger who totally needs musty old Nat Geos to help them shuffle onward through this mortal coil as well.

I agree with everyone so far too. If you gave them two weeks and it’s been two weeks, open a non paying bidder complaint against them. If they don’t have the money and don’t have a credit card to put it on, they don’t need it that badly…and or…well, too bad so sad. I’ve had to let lots of things go I was in LOOOOVE with the last few months because I’ve been out of a job. That’s no one’s fault but my own-certainly not the fault of the people selling stuff I want but couldn’t afford. Life goes on. *shrug* Don’t let your emotions get in the way of the transaction-easier said than done but it’s the right thing to do.
Kind of related…but I want to share what happened to me recently. I’ll shorten it up. I was sitting on the couch with my BF and mom comes in the back room. Tells me there’s a lady outside asking about buying my car…which is not listed for sale anywhere. She originally wanted to buy my daily driver (a Trans Am) but hail no, it’s not for sale. Then she asked about my dad’s SUV. Not for sale. I do have another car I’ve been wanting to get running and sell-a 2007 Pontiac G6. Good shape, needs a new battery and a cleaning. Minor scratches-a fogged head light. Minor cosmetic stuff. KBB says the car should be worth $4500-$5000. This elderly LOOKING woman gives me this sad story about how she just moved here from Michigan, she needs a car, she’s a single mom (there is a 19year old looking kid with her. She looks too old to have a kid that young) and oh please oh please, could I sell her the car. I say sure, $4500. She says she can’t afford that would I take $3,000. I ponder it over, sure. A bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush. Oh, woe is me, poor me, I’ve got cancer and I’m doing radiation therapy at a well known hospital near by. It’s believable, Houston has some of the best Oncology hospitals in the country. She also is missing most of her hair, so her story seems legit. Long story short, she says she’ll give me $100 down, changes her mind at the last second, acts like she has no money but is driving a shiny new Chevy truck, her brother comes back a week later to look the car over, says the alternator is bad, would I take $2500 for the car. Uh, no! The alternator is fine, it needs a new battery. I ask the kid “So, is that your dad?” “no, that’s my uncle” (yeah right) not 5 minutes later, he says “my mom wants to talk you you” and leads me to a younger looking woman who is believably his mother. When after I think all my money problems are solved, she backs out, decides it’s $2500 or nothing, then wants the deposit back. I told them no, but the demanded it back anyway. Waste of time. Their story was sketchy and all I heard was sad stories about how this poor old lady had cancer and needed me to sell her MY car. If you have $3,000 cash (she told me that’s how much she “had in her life savings”) then why not go to a used car lot and buy a car? I think they must own a used car lot somewhere and are looking for inventory. It was odd she was in my neighborhood anyway when she lives 20 minutes away and my whole neighborhood is a dead end almost. The only reason any one would be in there is if they live there or are visiting.
I know the prospect of a buyer is exciting, but another one will come along.
SO uh…Anyone need a car? 😉 lol

0.0 you win. I’m done lol I may have 200 total and I dont have any more space to *properly* display them. They are cluttering every surface of my bedroom…but then again my collection is mostly big pieces and a few little ones. I can justify spending $600-$800 on a piece if its big *shifty eyes* right? hahah
Man, I’d love to see your unicorn head. I can’t even imagine. I think I have about 19 or 20 unicorns.
My poor collection has been dwindling slowly since October when I had to quit my job for school. Once I get my license in the mail and I can start working-watch out!! J) mwhahahahah! I did splurge with my last pay check and got one of the last few Blue Morpho lap dragons. I haven’t been able to move her from my bedside since September. She’s so beautiful, I love looking at her before bed every night. I’ve got the Blue Morpho rising spectral on my night stand too. It’s a gorgeous color. Bravo Brandi, Bra-vo!
Two things…the white cats have been done before. They are pretty rare/HTF but they were signed and came with a COA. I guess you could say these are different because they have silver details and the eyes look to be half a shade lighter…but yeah.
Also, no one loves violet flame more than me…and I’ve been holding my breath for these VF OWs for yyyeeearrrsss. I had a real one once but someone made me a trade offer I couldn’t refuse, so he lives elsewhere now. BUT…is there any chance the color layout on this piece will ever be changed? He has soo much of that yellow. The lap dragon, rising/sitting spectrals and the fledgling are all perfect (I’m not a fan of the way the colors fall on the baby dragon). Especially the lap dragon. She’s a dream come true. I know, I’m super picky but I just personally would love to see more purple and that wonderful glowing ember reddish/magenta color on him.

I’m glad this got brought up because I have a piece I wanted to antique but I’m SUPER happy with his paint job and have been too scared to mess him up so he’s been chilling out for months waiting for me to get brave.
Ah! Man! It’s sad to see any Windstone chipped or damaged but even more sad when it’s a special piece. 🙁 For the gold detailing, Windstone uses a special paint pen. I’ve bought one before; they aren’t expensive…but I dont remember the name *smacks forehead*
I was just wondering if there was a winner for what type of GB there will be this month? Just something to look froward to on these long, cold, winter days.
I’ve got a cart of foxes and wolves out… so, more grab bag wolves? I know I did those already ,but everyone seemed to like them.
I could do them in safari colors, or natural dog colors… or magic mushrooms.

That’s two of my favorite things!…okay well the IDEA of magic mushrooms…all crazy colors and glowing. I’ve got all kinds of mushroom stuff around my house. Kitchen canisters, an old clock from the 70’s, ceramic mushrooms that belong in the garden that I keep inside, and all sorts of kitchen stuff. I used to have a black light poster of a skeleton sitting on a glowing mushroom but I can’t find it and I think it got thrown out years ago. It would be too perfect now since I’m in radiography.Also, I think some test painted “magic mushroom” mushroom ring candle lamps would be awesome! I have a mushroom ring and it’s so freaking cute
Whoo hoo! Glad you are back! I’ve been out in the weeds for the same reasons…school and fieldwork. Oy. I agree, the blue, “Pastel rainbow” unicorn is beautiful! Someone with some cash thought so too it looks like. 😉 Congrats on the sale! I hope you can find a job as soon as you finish school! That’s the dream 😉

Really? You think he looks THAT much different? I compared the store photo to my first batch rainbow scratcher and…to me they look nearly identical. The only difference is that the first batch LP rainbows had purple gems in their head instead of the champagne colored ones and there is more of that red/violet color on his up raised claw.

Yup! That’s my listing. I do have one of the original prints and the colors ARE darker and more vivid…but vivid in a bad way almost. They are cute! I’m only selling them because I don’t have a job right now and ….well I decided I can live without them.
Edit:…I do see that John bought them…. 🙁 does that mean I won’t get paid for them? *shifty eyes* I had 7 people watching them and thought the bid might go pretty high. I’m surprised there was only one bid.
