Wow, this is probably my favorite mother gryphon gargoyle since Melody’s Bronze Sunrise
BLACK AUTUMN #1 MOTHER GRIFFIN GARGOYLE [click on the picture to view auction]
Aside from the tiger and rainbow test paints this is my all time fave momma griff garg too – I am determined to win bid her – I love Halloweenie fall colors, her feline half looks like me, a black panther, and I’m collecting gargs – “there can be only one!” *whips out claws* haha.
Of this batch of painted Mother gargoyles, the tiger and rainbow one are the two I painted myself. Most of the others were given their basic paint job by Laurie, one of our production painters. I just added some doo-dads ,markings and egg polish. So I don’t take credit for this one!
Please give Laurie a big cat hug from me for this one!!! I won her and am just waiting on TRACKING info. yet. I can’t wait to see her up close!

April 11, 2015 at 5:38 am in reply to: Dragons, and poads, and werepanthers, oh my! Hi, I'm new! #927777Oh how cool ! Have you ever seen the movie “Fire in the Sky” ? Based on a true story. You must have seen it, its been around for ages, and I consider it a classic for people who “Believe” 😉
I myself have had my own share of close encounters… Many years back I was at an Ex’s place and we heard this very loud deep noise… very loud… and we went outside to look. It was night time, and all we could see were these sets of lights, low in the sky, heading away from us skimming the trees. It appeared large enough to be a cargo plane, and it was a deep rumbling sound, you could ‘feel’ the noise, it was vibrating the air. But what plane would fly that low? Plus there were no airports around there….. still makes me wonder to this day…. and later that night we seen weird flashes of light in the back of the house, in the woods.
Ahh… mysteries of the unexplained… makes life way more interesting ! 😉
I have watched that freaky movie a time or two. That happened to me and the aliens would be mopping up a large puddle of cat tinkle ha! Or trying to restrain a “thing” on an escape rampage through their craft.
I’d like to think. (I jest not )I don’t like the grays. They really are bugged eyed razzoles. Not that I’ve met any, nor do I ever wish to. Your experiences are definitely intriguing and unsettling. Lights in the woods..Hm, not sure I’d go try to look or not. I think not.Forever seeking: plum, chili pepper, and tattoo oriental dragons and kirins.

(don’t ask)-(unless you’re agent mulder from the x-files then you might be able to handle it).oooohhhhhh !! Im very intrigued ! Do tell ! Im not Mulder, but Im the next best thing… Scully 😉
Sorry Scully, “trust no one” and all that jazz… not even my own mother knows. Only two other people and only because of their backgrounds, – not to totally go with the cryptic response cliché but it’s true.
Sides, I’m still working at figuring it all out myself so should hardly speak with any certainty or authority on matters at hand. On a side note though, believe it or not I did see a UFO two night back to back when I was in the military star gazing with a real civilian contractor rocket scientist contractor mid way up Mt. Figouroa sp? near Santa Ynez s. CA in about 2008 or 2009 shortly before my service time was complete and I elected to move on to other things. Took pictures with a few different types of cameras, but none turned out – imagine that. Tech kept crapping on and off too.
Could have been something military suppose since we where near a major air base being in the USAF and all but not like anything I’ve ever seen or heard about. I was afraid to go out after dark for weeks after, but then someone made a good point, as if a house and locked door are going to stop something like that possibly if it did want to do the abduction thing… no adductee stories but did get some kind of neon green flash across the ground around us at twilight before seeing them that evening and yeah, no one’s going to pass it off as swamp gas to me!Forever seeking: plum, chili pepper, and tattoo oriental dragons and kirins.

April 9, 2015 at 5:53 am in reply to: Will There Be Grab Bag Standing Ki-rins Soon or Other Grab Bags? #927703Oooh, these are fantastically pretty! I look forwards to seeing more photos! 😀
I would love to see a photo of the fantasy ones also, if it’s not too much trouble.
The fantasy ones are getting away from me. Have your sunglasses ready…or maybe welding goggles…
There seems to be two kinds; gentle fantasy, which is leafy shapes with some metallics and interference paints… and then there is the AAAAGGGHHHHH! fantasy ones. They are brighter.WoOT! Does the happy dance. Bring on those bold, bright, beauties…

April 9, 2015 at 5:48 am in reply to: Dragons, and poads, and werepanthers, oh my! Hi, I'm new! #927702Hi there! It’s really nice to meet you. I always like meeting new forum members, though I haven’t been around for all that long myself. I hope you like it here! I haven’t ever seen a forum before this one where everyone is so friendly, and also the customer service is quite astounding in my opinion.
What is it like to own a pet rabbit? I have heard a lot of different things; some people say they’re affectionate as dogs, while others disagree.
Hi storm! I like your avatar! It’s really nice to meet you too.
I like it so far! I rabbits are not like cats or dogs exactly for an analogy they are distinct onto themselves as rabbits, but I think they have just as much love to offer as a cat or dog and as much need of love and care daily – they are a misunderstood creature.
My rabbit can be a loof like a cat at times or shed like one, use a litter box like one, like to play hide and seek and then pounce or come charging out of hiding places like a cat or dog, licks *kisses* like a cat or dog vigerously, can hold a grudge like either *he throws his toys in his water dish when he’s grumpy), like to be pet like a cat, nips at my heels for attention like a dog might, likes tossing small toys around for fun, naps a lot like a cat, has soulful lovely eyes like a dog, rabbits are just great. A well cared for rabbit is just as enjoyable as a dog or cat in my opinion and I”ve owned both dogs and cats too. I still think dogs are the #1 pet on the block, but after dogs, cats, and birds, it’s easy to see why rabbits are #4 most popular pet. I rank them up there with dogs and plan to keep rabbits as I age cause rabbits don’t have to be taken out potty when it’s 35 below zero!Forever seeking: plum, chili pepper, and tattoo oriental dragons and kirins.
April 9, 2015 at 5:39 am in reply to: Dragons, and poads, and werepanthers, oh my! Hi, I'm new! #927701Hi and welcome! I have been seeing your posts on here and wondered if maybe you were a member who changed your name as I was trying to figure out who Werepanther was but then figured you must be new to posting on here. I love your enthusiasm for the pieces you are after. Grab bags and other pieces yet to come are very exciting to wait for and get clues about from Melody. I like how how interactive everyone is on here, especially the staff updating us on things. I joined the forum a couple years ago I think and managed to acquire a lot more than I ever thought I would since then but it’s been a fun experience and I think you are right that we do all deserve treats sometimes. I used to have a border collie and rabbits myself but now we just have cats. I love all animal though!
Nope not an old member with a new identity. Why, thank you. The world can breath a sigh of relief that it will not have a disgruntled werepanther on the loose – I won my grail piece the dark autumn #1 mother griff garg off Ebay and now in the urban jungle the panther sleeps tonight with visions of gargs dancing in her head!) lol.
I’ve already acquired a lot more than I ever thought I would or could too. I hope I have enough room to accommodate my collecting appetite yet reasonably. Ha.
I’m an animal lover too. Kind of hard not to be when you resemble the object of your affection ha.

Hi Linda!
I do love it here, thanks for dropping in to welcome me officially! It’s hard to stick with one thing to collect or not get overwhelmed wanting everything in sight, LOL.
