Mmmmrgh….
Hours. Over two days. Thank goodness it’s (slightly) above freezing today. BUT! The movers have a way to get into the apartment (easily) now!
Shoveled by hand, no less.Windstone collector in remission. π
He’s pretty, all right…
but he looks awfully familiar…
Black Stallion Breyer sculpt from “The Black Stallion Returns” setI know they’re not exact, but the pose is really close.

Erg. That happened to me back in November, so I can feel your frustration. Have you submitted a police report? Put a fraud alert on your credit report? Good luck resolving this issue.

I would be SOOO tempted to do that, but I think airport security might have a problem with it…. especially if it were a Secret Keeper! π

You have a GORGEOUS collection of dragons, Jacki! I really like your Secret Keepers!

The peacock sunburst male-the blue one. There was another but that’s the one I really wanted. π Don’t be sorry. I admit I was really frustrated because you kept outbidding me on everything I put a bid on. π But I got over it. I think we must have similar tastes. 8)
*laughs* I think we all have similar tastes. π
And Drag0n? You don’t have to worry about me… having TRIED to ride my scooter today, I wound up renting a car days earlier than anticipated, so no momma griff for me. Good luck on her! π

I decided after this last move that if we had to do it again, I was piling everthing in the front yard, having a HUGE bonfire and would start from scratch at the new house. Roddy didn’t much go for that idea :nea: :negative: :negative:

*laughs* Some times (especially in the last two days!) I’ve been tempted to plunk it all up on eBay. I might do that once I get to VA and see exactly how much this move is costing me.
Too much stuff!

As some of you know, I’m moving (again) and came back to Iowa early in order to pre-pack some items… most notably, my Windstones. Some people used to ask me why I keep original boxes for… well, most of my stuff. THIS is why.
Yeah, they’re not really all that happy, but once they get boxed into a second moving box, they should be very secure. (Except for madame Secret Keeper, as she is already double-boxed. Maybe they’ll triple box her, I dunno.) The highest point of that pile is over four feet tall. Those are JUST Windstones, too. My other gryphon statues were taken out of the way to snap this pic.
How many of you also have kept the original boxes? Have you needed them? (This is move #4 for at least two of the pieces in that pile).
π³EDIT: I JUST realized I need to add five more PYO griffin boxes to that total… forgot I had ’em in the back of the closet. Gah. Can you mentally add ’em, peeps? They’re the same as the rear column to the left (next to the door frame)… just add five more boxes. π

Naw, I don’t think “spite” enters into it… not at these levels, anyway. I think whoever wins her just wants her that much, is all. π

That’s me, I swear!
What? Oh you wanna see what I actually look like? Well….okay.

Since so many people apparently like to post pics from a Renaissance Faire. π

drag0nfeathers wrote:Awwww, I’m sorry Ty. π If I don’t win I’m not going to hold any grudges so if I get outbid, I get outbid. Thanks to the lovely Adaneth I was able to bid at all so I am very thankful for that. I will say though that’s it’s the biggest bid I’ve ever put on a Windstone in my life thus far. *I’m still having heart palpatations just thinking about it* If I do win though it wil be my first limited production griffin and totally worth it.
It’s okay. I think you and I have the same philosophy about it: “if I win, I win. If I don’t, I don’t”. I just get frustrated when auction after auction I’m the second (sometimes the third) highest bidder, yanno? As always, no hard feelings no matter who wins. π *huggles*
And thanks, Setsuna! π
