Those are gorgeous! And I love the idea of the dragons’ hoards; mine is only hoarding a Fuzzy at the moment.
I got the red Savannah griffon chick! Glad I budgeted plenty extra for them though, because someone else clearly liked him too.
Oh, congrats! Wonderful feeling to get back into a job, isn’t it? Hooray, hooray!
Ooooh, that mama Peg is gorgeous – but there’s the griffy chick I’ve been waiting for. (Or at least, one of them.) Nobody see the red Savannah griffy chick; it’s not there. It’s a figment of your imagination.
Hope the tooth is better by now!
Tough luck, that. Hope they offer you something you can actually use from where you are. I’ll add you to my prayers.
Pity you haven’t even the option of following the job though. B’ham’s where I started my Windstone collection, back when there were still Wicks N’ Sticks in the malls.
My immediate reaction: Gimme gimme gimmie GIMMIE!
I rather like the idea of various shades of eggs in a clutch. The speckles tie them together neatly.
Good luck with both interview and test results! Here’s hoping y’all get some good news this week.
Depends on the dog. My last house was surrounded by cornfields, which led to an influx of mice every winter. (One memorable day I caught 9 – I barely had time to put the trap down before it was blinking at me again!) While I generally prefer live-trap and relocate, in that situation it was simply not feasible. But I also have a 90-pound retriever, and on at least two occasions when I heard mice, I looked over to see the mouse scampering past inches from Adam’s nose – while he stayed sound asleep.
I gone and got #4 last night. Along with the #4 silver bengal Poad.
I am sorry to hear about your loss. It’s always a shock to lose someone so suddenly. Your family is in my prayers.
March 19, 2010 at 12:27 am in reply to: Say goodbye to my gallbladder everyone. And it be gone!! #808040I haven’t had my gall bladder out (only my appendix), but my dad has. He was quite indignant that the doctor didn’t TELL him not to spend two hours raking leaves after he got home, so he ended up quite sore because of overexercising. Mom pointed out that the doctor probably didn’t expect most people to go home from the hospital and rake leaves, but he didn’t consider that sufficient excuse. So, in case your doctor doesn’t warn you – Don’t go out and rake leaves all afternoon as soon as you get home!
Other then that, I defer to those here who’ve experienced it. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Lucky you1 Food is good.
Unfortunately I seem to have just gotten hooked on Poads. I could talk myself out of the two black ones since they were similar to Twilight (my black peacock Poad), and the cow said it would be a run, but that colugo . . . I may need to rearrange my planned bidding list, I fear.
While I concede that some of the pieces do look a bit odd without eyes, I love seeing them ahead of their posting – it helps me plan my spending. Besides, it’s fun trying to guess what color they’ll end up with.
P.S What happened to the reddish savannah chicks? I never saw them come up.
I’ll vote for both of them; I love blue anyway, but that brown and carmel looks splendid as well.
Congrats! Enjoy him!
I just got my first Poad, too. He’s a touch larger than I expected (I have no sense of measurement whatsoever, so ‘x inches by y inches’ statements don’t help me much) but the two curlies were slightly smaller than I thought so I guess it balances out. I couldn’t decide if I preferred the Sugarplum with blue or plum eyes, so I got the black peacock. (This actually makes sense, I promise.) Haven’t come up with a name for him yet, but he’s settled himself right in with my griffons, half of whom are black and iridescent blue/purple themselves. And then there’s Goscip, who isn’t black but is charcoal. I do apologize to whomever I outbid for her, but her price was too good for me to pass her up. Anyway, the Poad is absolutely adorable, and I’d like a live one now, please!
