i’d love to get the surgery done for her on that bad leg and then hope through exercise and weight control that the better leg will not get worse, if not get better with time and care. i have read up on the surgery through online, etc. but i am waiting to hear how that attached kneecap is going to effect things. he said there is NO arthritis in the joints which is a blessing, but the patella in question is degenerating because it has been off track so long apparently and has no longer been receiving nutrients. that may compromise the effectiveness of the surgery if the patella is brittle and unstable. that’s the wildcard factor we are waiting on. gulp! i could only then imagine if they want to fashion a new kneecap through bone material harvesting or other crazy stuff! 😯
my hope is that the surgery won’t be “too” expensive if they’d be charitable with me and give me a little break ( i only make $200 a week, plus whenever i sell a pyo), have my mom with her better credit apply for a surgery payment plan, then have me pay it off instead to her. i can hope. this will be tough though, as my dad didn’t even want me to pay for her x-rays- he thought that was a waste of money. 🙁hey there y’all! well, its time to start drumming up some dough for my poor doggie ( needs knee surgery) by selling some of my collection. right now i put up a mint oriental sun dragon in ruby, a mint ruby young and a baby pegasus. i’ll be adding more as i have time (lion sconce, a hatching pegasus i think and before too long another pyo dragon). check out my goodies when you have a chance:

i’ll add a link, once i have one, to the dog subject in the community section. i’d love any advice or personal experience any of you may have in this matter. 🙂 thankies!!so, we’ve had a few hard weeks this past bit over here! my japanese chin, Miso, was diagnosed friday with mild hip dysplasia in her right hip, a grade 2-3 luxating patella in her right hind leg and a permanently luxated patella in her left leg, which has fused to the other bones on the inside side of her knee joint and has even started to decalcify. the doctor thinks she grew this way from the beginning, and that the vet who i saw prior wasn’t paying attention when he checked her knees and missed it. ( my old vet rushed you in and out like the building was on fire) 😕 my new vet is great ( yet he said he had never is his career seen the kneecap fused to the inside side of the joint) and the three surgeons he is consulting are the best in the state and then some. 🙂
miso did gain weight this winter, which seemed to bring this condition to the surface (as she was basically fine prior) despite us trying to exercise her and give joint supplements. she is now on strict bed rest in a small carpeted room and is on a more intense diet regimen, plus rimadyl as needed. we are waiting on the game plan from the orthopedic surgeons on possible surgery options or if surgery would even be successful for her. we will then also know how much it may cost, if they would accept payments, etc., but i am dreading the estimate, as the x-rays alone were 300 bucks. my family wants me to put her down and spend the money on fixing myself, but she isn’t even three years old and a deserves a chance at life. her quality of life is my responsiblity. worst case scenario we and the surgeons are considering a wheelchair if the surgery looks like it would only be partially successful. again, i really look forward to later in the week when i will know more; the surgeons’ prognosis will tell us alot, but i needed to get cracking on this now. what do i do? where is the line, if the is one, of what one should spend to save a life? anyone with tales of patellar luxation surgery? anyone experienced with wheelchairs? this site/making has great reviews and is near me:

lol! i’m the one who likes pete! lol! hmm i’ve been sweet on him for years so i have trouble finding it weird. lol! i really like his mind/thought processes more than anything… he’s a pretty smart guy with quite the sense of brassy n.y. humor, but is quite a moosh and a shypie when it comes down to it. tee hee. he’s a capricorn too and i just love the (quirky) mannerisms of a classic capricorn guy. he reminds exactly of my best guy buddy in high school to a T, so thats why i gravitate to him too. rough outside, a picky, calculating brain and a softy at heart. great mix.
pete was totally happening during the october rust tour, he looked sooo vibrant and healthy, ( mmmm big pete boobies) but the poor thing now is so unwell. 🙁 i wish he’d take better care of himself and not do rock n roller druggy/dirty old man thing. ah well.
i can understand liking josh, i guess a lot of ladies do, with tendrils n tattoos, but he always came off a little quiet/wasted/burnt to me. i’m generally the quiet one out of the couple, so i like a guy with a little pluck n roughness. i loooooooove joshs’ keyboard playing though. squee! hoo wee!

way to go lamortfille! i love pete too! oh my god do i ever! i got to meet him this past fall and he was sooooooooo sweet, mild gentle and so not full of himself. what a bug! i’d so love to mother him and nurse him back to health! ( i’m a spoiling girlfriend) 😆 i put the hot sauce one in just for you! 😉

ya know who is also kinda cute these days? matt damon. he was too stringy for me when he was younger,( talented mr ripley) but now he’s filling out and having a real nice “hottish guy next door who would be a good daddy” look to him. lol. guys really seem to get better with age; they fill out and husky up. yum!
! its looking like an even 120 for me, not including pyos! i’m going to have to sell some though soon, i need some dough for lots of expensive stuff. 🙁

i just love that kirin! he’s a beauty! if you don’t mind me asking, which photo package did you use on ebay to display him? your pics are clear, sharp and big (but not “supersized”) and when i ran my auction they were small, mealy and looked like butt honestly even though my original pics were super nice! i did just the plain photo upload (after photoshopping them smaller)…should i have used some sort of photo pack? i don’t sell on ebay much so i am out of touch with some of their upgrades since a year ago or so…. 😳 (sorry i don’t mean to hijack your thread)
thanks guys, we need it!! gosh, life has been just so overwhelming for so many people these days, myself definitely included. geez, i thought my prior debt/bills was bad enough, but man this was the ultimate kick in the pants that simply has no choice but to be dealt with, and promptly!
wow purpleclaw that was a crazy situation! i think i remember you posting about that before( maybe) and i remembered thinking how awful that situation had to have been. trying to do something so loving and charitable and have things go wrong like that. my gosh i’m so sorry!! we had our old family dog almost get killed by a second dog we got at a shelter too… its was a bulldog and it bit big holes in out labs throat and gave her such a fever/virus /infection thing we were sure she was going to die. she was bedridden and hand fed and watered for a month, but she did recover.
anyhoo, heres my doggie i’m referring to. miso, my japanese chin…they just went wild over her at the vet! ( i got a new vet and he is SUPER, as i had many disputes with my prior one) its not the conditions i’d like to meet the new vet under, but at least i have a super hookup now. there is the sunny side i guess out of all this. 🙂 once i know more i’ll start a thread in the community section, in case anyone has prior experience with this that made have some words of wisdom…
