it has been done! you’s been added! i’ll call the factory monday with the names as a start for them in case it gets missed here- i know the “dynamic duo” try to stay away from the forum, lol! hopefully i won’t need real names, just screen names as a starting point, but i’m not sure…
yes a good deep ruby is a really hot color! i just love the gold wingweb/rich ruby color combo- its so luscious! i just got a ruby fledge and it came out nice too, deep red, very little pink, just on the jaw highpoints, and real black eyerims, lol! he has little ‘coon eyes! i’m glad you got a nice one as well! i wouldn’t worry at all about a fresh ow coming out too pinky, as i would think they all have the ruby painting techique pretty down pat by now. plus, it would be eyecatchingly goonie seeing an ow too pink, i think someone would notice and fix him so he is respectably masculine. lol.oh thats just fine! 🙂 nothing to feel bad about! i think about 85 % of the time the items are gone…. totally normal, but sometimes you find other things you weren’t expecting that are pretty juicy! i really appreciate your thoughtfulness and effort!! squeeeeeee and glee! 😀

yup. they will be made in batches from time to time like other limited productions on the direct sales page.. unless they decide to retire them, which can happen at any point… 😯
“I want one but i’m still actively looking ” are fine for the list too i heard, as i mentioned to her that i didn’t want to fully hold out, then miss out if they didn’t make them; she understood and expected that. they just wanted a loose count of genuinely interested people, a ball park figure. 🙂
(personally, i must have a perfect candy apple/hot rod red one so i am a little afraid of getting potential oooooold store stock of the inital raspberry ruby, but i am still searching…)TF to the rescue! i made a list in the general windstone section for a ruby ow waitlist! if he is more appropirate in ask melody or wherever it can be moved, but it seemed like a good location for it… thoughts? i got on the list by phone too when i called the factory yesterday! please please don’t forget me! i need one!
ok, so a ruby OW is still on my list of must haves no matter what, but the out of stockness really got me, so i called the factory got karen i think to inquire. she said they are out of stock limited production, but they may make more, or just retire him in ruby( like melody just said she hoped! gulp! please no!). anyhoo, she wanted to start a list of people that were interested in still getting one, so that way they know if they really should do more- you know, shows the demand and maybe how many to make. this will really help us pokies who didn’t get ours yet have a chance at still getting a nice fresh one of him without getting stuck price wise!
case in point i found one in a shop by phone an old muddy raspberry colored one for… get this…… 350 bucks plus tax, plus shipping! ha ha! he blamed it on windstones price increase, that it was the required price increase on the piece! lol! ok, so case in point i would love for both myself and the rest of us to avoid that!!

and a peacock hatching emp. he had a flea bite out of his brow that i touched up. .. not an invisible touch up, as it is right where the purple fades to blue and on the brow edge, so there was no perfect way to reproduce the subtleness and depth of the gradation like the airbrush, but its not too bad.

i hope they help fill holes in someones collection out there!yup, i tried mayhem and they are sold out of him, i think you got the last one! the lady i spoke with said she was updating their site as we spoke, so it will be totally current in a couple days.

wow. i have never called a shop that had one, but then again there are lots of stores out there… update: i called windstone and the ruby ow is not officially retired, hes just out of stock, so at some point they may have more. limited production!!!! being patient got more young unis out, so there is hope for more ruby ows! we all know though that out of stock CAN become retired, depending. all the ow bodies are being painted up as golds, so there you go, squeak for gold, you lose ruby! lol! forehead smack! oops!
