So this is my collection with everybody so far, including the Special OW. The only piece yet to arrive is the Peacock Riser….. 🙂

The Em Pea male, mother and young all arrived today…

I *really* like the Em Pea’s…I hadn’t seen them in person on the bigger pieces until today.

They’re both the “old” paint color. 🙂
The one on the right is my original; the left is the new one that came today as a MIB.

Thanks, peg. But that is the coloration I think of as the “older” one.
These photos are what I think of as the “newer” paint….assuming this works. 😉

I didn’t think the Peacock OW was a prototype for a minute. I was just curious about the hole.:lol:

I am fascinated by the differences in the same paint scheme. I’ve taken some pictures of the 2 side by side, and will try to get them up. I’m not sure the quality will be enough to really point up the differences, tho’. It’s kinda cool! This is the first time I’ve had 2 pieces of the same statue in the same color. Even though I know how the pieces are painted, I guess it just never occurred to me to think they’d be that different. I guess this just points up some of the neat things that make these guys special. 😀

So does anybody know if the older scupltures were ever done in the “newer” Peacock? Enquiring minds wanna know! 😆 I think we got kind of sidetracked on the OW…

This Peacock OW’s head isn’t touching his wing.
Tatt2d, you got this guy at a brick and mortor store, right? He still has a pricetag on his hang tag….
I don’t think he’s a prototype. He *IS* beautiful, tho’ and I LOVE him! 😉
But I noticed the hole in his wing does go all the way through, and the Magic Invisible Paint Red Fire OW’s doesn’t. It doesn’t go through BOTH wings–just the left one.

I think it may have to do wiht timing also. I get the boxes at first then teh dragons show up once they have down loaded completely

A friend of mine who is a programmer said the red x’s are either the picture timed out, or just doesn’t exist anymore. I’ve tried clearing the history/temp files/cookies, making sure my pc is checking for updated content with every visit, etc. I can’t even see the full grown dragons anymore. No matter how long I wait, if the red x’s are there, that’s all she wrote.
And when I click on any of the x’s, I get either an error message, or a permission denied screen from their website itself. It’s frustrating….and I’d wondered if I was the only one. Now I see I’m not, but still….I don’t want to have little tombstones all over the place. I can’t even see my own to see where they are. I had a blue egg that I was hoping would hatch into a water dragon. Does anybody see if it did? Cause I can’t. 😥

So I’m looking at the new Peacock young that arrived today, and comparing it to my original Peacock young and I noticed there’s quite a difference in the paint jobs. I know my original one is from back in the 80’s, since that’s when I bought him. This new guy is a MIB with his tag, and he’s quite different from his older brother. He’s not as heavily antiqued, has less of that green, and his blue leans more towards the purple-ish side. He has more gold accents, but less of the lavender and turquoise spot scales. I’m sure I’ll find more differences as time goes on. 😉
It got me thinking, though. Were any of the young, males and mothers done in what I think of as the newer Peacock? And I noticed the newer Peacocks didn’t have the pink, lavender and turquoise spots.
And another thing–I just got a Peacock OW yesterday. I was looking at him comparing between the Special Painted OW I got from eBay, and I noticed that the hole in the Peacock’s wing goes all the way though, but on the Special OW, it doesn’t. So which way is it supposed to be?

Well, today has already become an interesting day. I was expecting (and still am…) the arrival of the Em Pea male and mother. The mailman was just here, and he came up to the house and handed me a small box. Remember I mentioned I was waiting on a Peacock and Em Pea young? Well, they just arrived!! In just 3 days 😯 to NJ from FL, from dunreining! And when she said the Peacock young was mint, oh boy! Is he ever!! The bonus was I wasn’t expecting them to get here until next week. 😀

And just when I thought I was home-free, and would be able to snag the box and hide the evidence before the hubby got back this morning from his weekly trip to the coin dealer, guess who pulls in just behind the mailman?? I swear, this man has Dragon Radar!! 🙄 So I figured I might as well confess to him now that I have 2 bigger pieces also due in today. I’m giving up on being able to hide the bodies, so to speak. 😛
I promise to take pictures of everybody once the last piece I’m waiting on gets here. It’s a Peacock Riser, and he’s supposed to be shipped out on Monday. Plus, it’s raining here today, and I’m not about to haul my babies outside…. 🙁

And today just got BETTER! 😀 😯 George (the hubby) just gave me the GREEN LIGHT to order the male and mother Sunset Griffins for our anniversary, which is at the end of this month!!!! WHOOO HOOOO!!! MY FIRST GRIFFINS!!!!! OMG! I’m gonna be too tired to Happy Dance by the end of today if those Em Pea dragons get here! 😆
