Yes, I was thinking about that when I bought mine; but now I want to sell her and get the one with open eyes. I like that one better; it has so much more orange, and it is also much darker, which I like. I don’t want to end up with two (assuming I will be able to get the second one). If I can’t sell my closed-eye Flapper, I would definitely want to trade for one with more orange! 🙂
Oh, I would love to see (make that HAVE) the Royals in Amethyst! I have the Oriental, Fledgling, Curly, and Young, and the Amethyst is my favorite Windstone color. 😀 My Young Oriental is a bit more violet than the rest, and is absolutely gorgeous; the rest are only gorgeous, not absolutely gorgeous. 😀

Anyone want an Eye-Shut Large Flap Cat – Orange & White? I wanted one closer to the one on the left in Windstone’s picture, one with lots of orange and less white. What I got is one almost identical to the one on the right: lots of white and not much orange. 🙁 Of course, the next day one came out with open eyes and even more orange, but I missed it. 😡 That is the one I want to end up with now. So if someone wants my Eye-Shut and cannot wait or watch the Store, I would sell for what I paid with shipping, plus shipping to you.
Those eyes are pretty neat though. They are not completely closed; it looks as if the cat is not asleep but almost there.
I just got mine, and it looks very close to the one on the right with the striped tail. If anyone got one with lots of orange, like the one on the left, I will be happy to trade. Of course I would be even happier to trade for the one with open eyes; that one has lots and lots of orange, and I missed it.
I have a White Male and White Mother new in their boxes, with tags, if anyone is interested. I also have a new Coiled White in its box. Can’t remember if it is the Male or Mother. If anyone is interested, I will find it and check.

I also save all my boxes, but I do not have boxes for everything. I have bought pieces over the phone from stores all over the country, and lots of them come without boxes. Some stores say they do not have room and some are surprised anyone would want the box anyway. 😡 I even ran across a store that saved the bottom halves of the boxes but threw out the tops. No space, they said! :shrug: Some stores also remove tags because they get in the way. It seems like they could just tuck them under the piece, but they are obviously in the business of selling and do not realize that collectors want them.
NOOOOOOOO! I just checked a little bit ago; now they are here and gone? How many were there? Four? Three? 😥
😀 I got one, 😀 and I finally got my Amethyst Fledgling too! 😀 It will evidently be a lottery as to what pattern we will get, but I really, really hope for one painted more like the one on the left. So if someone wants the one on the right, please keep me in mind. I will be happy to trade with you if I get one closer to that and you don’t. 🙂 And to answer your question, kenziesmommy, as far as reselling at your cost if you do not like it, I don’t think that will be a problem. I was surprised how fast these Flap Cats sold out; like everything else lately, they flew out the door…… Is this where I put in a pun about their wings? 😆
Just added to the Store: Eye-Shut LARGE Flap Cat – Orange & White, 🙂 and the AMETHYST YOUNG ORIENTAL is back in stock. Fledglings were here and gone if you blinked twice. Wow! I just looked, and the Flap Cats are gone already too.
My heart goes out to you Kujacker. I must admit the tears were flowing as I read what happened with your Mom. I lost mine last year, and it is awful for all those left behind.
Someone mentioned the stress of going through a lawsuit; and speaking from experience, they are right. It is a horrible experience. It will not allow you time to grieve and for that grief to lessen; salt will be rubbed in your wounds every minute for the years and years that lawsuit drags on. The emotional toll is staggering.
If you find a lawyer to take your case, I hope that knowing this will help prepare you and make it easier to bear.
Frustrating is putting it mildly! I completely missed the first batch of Fledglings; they were gone before I even knew they were out. Suddenly one day the Buy Now button showed up. I clicked on it fast, was taken to the next page, and then told my cart was empty. 😕 I refreshed the page, went back to the previous page, etc.; there was no Buy Now button. I finally decided it must have been a computer glitch. Then I saw that the second batch had been out. I must have seen that Fledgling during the last few seconds someone was completing payment, so I really had no chance to get it. I would have been happier if I had not seen it at all. So, yes, it really can be frustrating. 🙄
