[blockquote]Here’s my PYO and the original family[/blockquote]

Did you paint that one yourself? He is so gorgeous and fits so well with his family. I love it.

I’ve never wanted to win one more than this one. What a GORGEOUS creature. Reminds me of the Great Dane I had. ❤️️❤️️❤️️

It’s crazy how big SK is. I just consider him a separate entity altogether. 😄

I’ve always thought the Fledgling’s name was an ‘oops,’ honestly, because a “fledgling” is a juvenile that’s learning/learned to fly, and the Fledgling Dragon’s definitely built like a baby much younger that that

That’s exactly why I was asking! The name invokes a specific member of the flock which never seemed to fit the size of him. I definitely appreciate all the thoughtful responses to this. 🙂

Hey! Haven’t been here in forever but I saw this ad on Amazon and I had to say something. Somebody’s using the Spectral on a journal?

I mean, that’s pretty dang cool looking I must admit.

Well, it’s real but I don’t know whether to be happy about that or not, because it was packaged like absolute garbage. I knew as soon as the mailman handed me the box. 🙁

How much should I ask for back from the seller? I bought it for $65 (which would have been a good deal to begin with, I think).

I knew it existed, it just doesn’t look…right. The seller already declined to cancel the order so I guess I’ll take better pictures when I get it and post them. I’m 99% sure it’s fake though.

Ugh, I just impulse purchased this without really looking at it and now I don’t think it’s real. I requested to cancel the order but the seller hasn’t gotten back to me. There is nowhere to really research the looks of these old pieces is there? I searched for this all over the website and couldn’t find it. I think I need to take a break from trying to find some rare piece, like I’d ever be so lucky. Oh well. We’ll see what happens, if they don’t cancel the order I think I can get my money back from ebay if it is indeed counterfeit. Any thoughts?

I love the Scratcher and Lap together, though. They could be twins! Or siblings just a year or two apart.

Hmmm, you’re right, they do match each other better than the OW. 👍

I was just looking at the copper lap and fledge and thinking they looked good together. Maybe the old warrior with them too, like 3 generations. 🙂

Nice to have confirmation that the fledge doesn’t really match the “first family” LOL It may take a while for me to save up enough to get some of the larger pieces so I have plenty of time to decide what I want to try for.

Yes, the size difference was what led to my initial question, as fledgling seems like it would fit the male, mother, young, baby, hatching group, but it kind of appears to big. (Not positive as I don’t have one, I kind of go by the picture on top of the “all dragons” page). I was curious if anyone had first hand knowledge of the background of why certain pieces were made certain sizes and if maybe Melody had intentions behind some of them. I have a better idea of how I want to go about getting certain pieces now so, thanks again. And I’ll definitely post pics!

That makes total sense. Thank you for the input!

Welcome! I am also a newbie to the forum, everyone is very nice and helpful. I don’t know how you find the time to do all your hobbies! I’m impressed. 🙂 I bought my first Windstone (peacock mother dragon) as a teen but never got another until recently, when I started looking for a specific piece a friend of mine had bought at the same time as me (a brown griffin). And then they sucked me in and I can’t escape. LOL My collection is very small compared to some of these collecting wizards! Hope you enjoy the place.
