I’ve been dying to see a buckskin pegasus family in the store! They were mentioned many, many, many, many months ago. I hope they’re still a possibility! 🙂 There haven’t been any pegasus moms and babies in the store in a great while.
I was gonna *try* to skip the bears, but how can you say no to that little face! They look like they’re waiting for hunny!
Hey! I don’t see any pebbles on those carts. 😥Yeah, but no matter what the price is there will always be people who can’t afford one. Always. Since the quality of each batch keeps increasing significantly then the prices should reflect that. Sometimes I can afford one, sometimes I can’t. I’m just super grateful that Melody and the staff continue to make ’em available.
the higher it goes, the more of us will be pushed out…I’m not saying the prices aren’t fair, I’m just thinking of the future, if it keeps going up and up, more and more of us will be pushed out more and more….I’m glad the staff makes them for us but I think we need to go back to simpler designs for a bit and put the price back to what it was before with the next batches, I know I wouldn’t want to pay the price they are now when the babies go back to normal fantasy since the prices wouldn’t account for the amount of work done and painted used….I’m not trying to spark an arguement here, I’m just worried about the future and possible scarier prices if the current trend continues….
I understand. 🙂 Every batch that came out, we squeeked for weirder and weirded colors and the last batch of unicorns is what our squeeks evolved to, LOL. I think all the batches were all more than fairly priced for their type of details.
Look at the prices they command now on the secondary market–and that “profit” people are making doesn’t always end up spent on more Windstones, so that’s not profit to the business or the artist–and tell me honestly how the prices originally charged were fair. Those of you who were able to get in on those should count yourselves very lucky.
what people will pay on the second hand market shouldn’t determine prices, there will always be bidding wars with people with very deep pockets but that doesn’t mean the price should raise according with them…I wouldn’t want to be priced out due to the prices some are willing to pay second hand….it should be a fair price range for all of us…..I’m not saying that the prices aren’t still in the fair range but they never should follow the trends of the marketplace unless we want to pay $600 or more for all of the youngs just since one went that high, I know I don’t!

Honestly, I thought the unis were a bargain even at $95. Where else can you get a unique, original, and signed piece of art on the interwebs? I agree with the price increases (even when my bank account doesn’t agree). 🙂
heehee. I found it two minutes after the livestream, I guess I was distracted by the beauty of the OctiPoads.
The Olive Garden commercials have been taunting us all week, I’d hate to miss something awesome just for a big bowl of gnocchi soup, LOL.
Since the little bat wing flap kitties are being made again, I’ve been dying for a lynx point one. Silver wings would look neat on her!
A Bad Cat Candlelamp in a non-stone finish color is my dream piece. <3
Kiya got a new avatar! Nice hat, l’eagle!!
Don’t try to understand boys, it will just make your brain hurt. A couple days ago I was in the shower and ran out of soap, so I asked my hubby if he would get some more for me so I didn’t have to get out. Did he put the wrapper in the little trash can next to the shower? No. He put it back in the towel closet. :stare:
OMG! That tiger kirin is the most beautiful thing I have seen! He is going to be soooooooo expensive! I wish I had monies!
Me too!! I would mortgage my house to have him! Anyone want to buy my hubby’s car? He won’t notice it’s gone.
Does anyone here know how to clean a tank out after a parasite infestation? I’ve never dealt with an illness worse than Ick, so I’m not sure what to do from here. I don’t want to just drain it and rinse it, I’m afraid it might harm new fish. I have live plants and driftwood in it and I’m not sure how to uncontaminate it all. Anyone have advice? I’d love to start over with just a couple guppies (from a different pet store location, just in case). Should I call Petco and tell them that one of their tanks has a harmful disease? I got the impression that the employees who got my fish for me didn’t know much about aquariums, they were surprised to find that the water was warm!
That would make a neat PYO, although after buying Windstones I has no monies to feed it.

My Whine of the Month:
I’ve been missing having an aquarium. They relax me like you wouldn’t believe! So, about a month ago I bought a new one and set it up on a table near my bed. At night I unwind with a book in bed while watching fishies swim around.
When the tank was ready to sustain life my hubby and I went to Petco and got 4 female guppies and 4 males. One of the females was very pregnant and three days later I had a little nursery of 32 adorable little tadpole-looking babies! SQUEE! About a week later I notice a white spot on one of the adults. The next day many white spots. So I simply treat their water with Ick medicine which usually clears that right up. Several days later they ALL are covered in spots, even my precious little baby fish. The medicine is not working!! Then they start dying one by one and I notice that their big fancy tails are gone. I’ve been treating them for Ick and it is NOT Ick. So I bought a small tank and transferred the babies and have been treating them with the correct medicine, but out of 40 total fish, I have just 8 babies left (for now, sadly) and one adult (who I call Typhoid Molly). I’m really steamed at Petco. I spent a small fortune on what was supposed to be a relaxing hobby just to spend hours a night changing fish water and watching 2 dozen fry die in an expensive habitat that is now contaminated with parasites. Some relaxing hobby. I has an angry. -
