Amanda, I remember reading about Sebastian on facebook at the time, praying for him, and I was really upset when I heard he had to be put down after everything you did. It’s always hard to lose a pet and I think it’s even worse after such a struggle, even though it was a long time ago it’s still going to be upsetting. 🙁
My suggestion, and I’m probably a horrible person for saying it, is to buy a chipped or broken flap cat off ebay in the pose you want, and get someone to repaint it for you. *runs away* Orrr to get one of the ebay ones, I’ve seen at least 2 black ones recently, I’m sure there have been more over the years, try putting a “want to buy” ad in the flea market section. That way whoever got scorpio and any of the others will be more likely to see it, and you can put the maximum price you would be able to pay in there. If your offer is higher than what the ebay item sold for I’m sure you could find one.
I think all black production large/ bird wing flap cats would be really popular. Soooo many people have black cats, and I imagine it would be easy to paint them. Maybe make a thread about that in the ask melody section, just specify they should be production not ebay 🙂

I think when ebay rules in your favor of item not described, and you have to return the item, ebay makes you pay to ship the item back to the seller. I’ve never done it but that’s what I’ve heard. So you’d lose out on money here but get the item price back.
You can ask her to pay return shipping, etc and if she says no, well, all the more reason to leave a negative, no? I hate when sellers put “no returns” and then assume it means they don’t have to describe their items accurately.
Is that the “spectre” one? There are pictures in the trade thread I think. Theres a bunch of new ones there. 😀
I didn’t even know that buyers/ recipients could file an insurance claim. I thought that was the seller’s responsibility.
I think even if the item hadn’t broken, it still isn’t as described, therefore you should return it and get your money back. If the seller wants to go through the insurance stuff, fine. She didn’t describe it properly, and I think that’s the real problem here. The item was not “new”, even before it got broken, and you wouldn’t have bought it if you had known that.
Was the packaging inadequate? I think it’s kind of rude that she insisted on sending it priority even after you offered to pay extra for fedex.
The safe thing to do is put the item not described thing through paypal or ebay or whatever, send the item back, and get the return. Take pictures of him now, and the packaging, in case it comes up (like if she accuses you of breaking it and sending it back or something) but yeah. If you do the claim yourself, you’d have to prove how she packed it and it’s really not your problem as the buyer. And, if the claim isn’t paid, you’re out the money, not the seller.

Brickabrack and cinnamon are gorgeous! Are those green spots on Brickabrack’s coat? The light eyes look great on him. And cinnamon’s face is to die for! I love the white face with dark eyes, I think Artemesia has a face kind of similar, so pretty. <3
