I swear, I’m going to get bricked for making up the weirdest names for my dragon colors. ((Actually I’m doing this on purpose to an extent, so that I hopefully won’t use a name that Melody will want for future use…))

Anyhow, this color was based on the Conch Shell color I painted on a Keeper PYO a while back. Then it evolved a little bit into a color mom said looked like orchids. I added some fancy markings on their scales- then they really looked like flowers! So they are Orchid Shell. Orchid like shell colored…? I don’t know. Someone send me some coffee, I’m obviously half awake.

Okay, I apologize in advance for these photos. I’m just too exhausted tonight to make them pretty with black backgrounds, etc.

The Fledge has straw colored eyes. I know, I wanted to give him lavender!!! I WANTED TO! 😆 But I don’t have any lavender in his size, and the factory can’t exactly make me any and send them right now. All their eyeballs are probably on a truck somewheres… Anyhow. The stone is a natural amethyst.

The momma coiled… ahh I wish I could keep her. Well, maybe not, I have looming bills. But her colors did really grow on me. She’s elegant, feminine and so pretty. She has lavender eyes and neatest of all- her stone is a natural, genuine pink sapphire. It was a beast to get a genuine pink sapphire in her size let me tell you. It’s very pretty.

These are shipping to Windstone right now and will likely be amongst the last of their eBay stuff before they move to Oregon!I’m stunned . They are breataking . I’d love one like the coiled one …sigh. I can dream. Inspired by nature .

Well, she’s almost done. I decided to re-visit the skull and bone theme. I love black and red together. Skulls are cool to 😈 . She still needs some touching up here and there and I also want to put some red gems in her mane and tail. I’m calling her Skully (pun intended). I was trying to make the skulls look a pattern in fur, but also a little dimensional. Not an easy task. She will be put on ebay as soon as she is done 😉 . I think I want to try this theme on other pyos 😀 .

So sorry to hear of it . It hurts to lose pets . They expect so little of us and give back so much . And they don’t judge us . 😥 Blessings to you .

Most def a dragon, but not one that got huge! Just a nice little lap dragon. 🙂

Not me… I want one big enough to ride! He’d also have a custom built “house” right next to the entry drive to keep all the door-to-door salesmen away. 😆

I don’t know about a big dragon – just think of the food bills. Or do you have so many door-to-door salesmen that no one would ever notice if a few became dragon dinner? :yum:Well you could alway live in the country and raise cows . Some go to the meat market and some to your dragon . Who might like sheep too or that annying neighber . :yum:

My latest venture : A purple dragon I call Haze. She has lots of interference on her done in light coats, she has metallic periwinkle eyes (thanks to Susie for sending me a smaller set!!), an Amethyst colored crystal in her forehead, and a multicolored swarovski crystal nestled in her tail coil. Her scales are interferenced in patterns of Blue and Violet Golden Interference, and her dorsal ridge is interferenced in Blue and green. Her wings also have a touch of blue and green interference. Of course, it was very hard to photograph – she is much prettier in person. I did try to take pictures of her in different lights so as to capture her as honestly as was possible. Personally I think the images of her with a light background do her the most justice.

I will be selling this one! My asking price is $210 which includes shipping, tracking and insurance. PM me if interested!

OK so since I saw a few other people who are new at PYO’s doing awesome jobs with antiquing, I decided to give it a go myself 🙂
I was really scared to do it to my first little guy, who I named Gilded Sky, but I read the advice that has been given previously (like, not trying to antique until after the topcoat is on – which was actually very helpful! Made it so much easier to wipe off ‘mistakes’) and I did it. The only place that I didn’t really antique was his inside wings (could you call them membranes? That sounds kinda icky and they’re so NOT icky!), I tried it but the grooves were so shallow that it ended up looking strange and almost dirty, so I decided to skip it 🙂
I have posted one “before” pic just for reference. I am quite happy with him 😀 I’ve decided once and for all that I will be keeping this one since he is my official first one, but I simply cannot wait to try more PYOs in the future 🙂
