🍠I wouldn’t be interested in a candy swap but I’m in the UK and if anyone was wanting any candy shipped over from the UK let me know and we can try and arrange something 🍬
It was this old lady that bought that old lady ! I remember Pam , I think it was being lucky enough to get a similar mother dragon and asking if it was a legit Windstone back then . She’ll go nicely with a very old green mother dragon that I have with large iris orange eyes , blue jewels , she even has the fingerprint from someone at Windstone on her base along with a 1984 date stamp .
Can I just thank the folks on this Forum for once again showing great generosity which is very much appreciated .
Sorry I wasn’t clear enough . I’m looking for someone who would allow me to have a Windstone piece shipped to them when the seller doesn’t offer shipping outside the US , and then they would ship it to me in the UK . Unfortunately my bank account can attest that the Windstone Store does indeed ship internationally !!!!!!!!! :((
March 21, 2014 at 10:15 pm in reply to: Windstones for free ? – not quite , you have to pay shipping #910208Apologies to the people waiting on me getting back to them with prices for shipping . We’ve had very wet and windy weather the past two days and as I don’t have a car I didn’t fancy the couple of trips to the Post Office with soggy cardboard boxes , there’s too much for just one trip . If it isn’t any better tomorrow I might have to wait until Monday but please bear with me and I will get back to everyone who has first refusal on the Windstones . I’m fine if anyone decides that the shipping is too much and they don’t want to go ahead as I’ll then offer it to the next person on the list until everything is rehomed .
Just to say I PM’d you a wee while ago in case you haven’t checked your messages recently . Thanks
PM’d you
Wampus I can only go by my own experience with this seller & although I know there have been transactions that have gone smoothly there are other issues with this person that I haven’t mentioned anything as they are not my problems to speak about . Initially the seller & myself seemed to have agreed how to resolve the issue but then other issues occured which I’ve mentioned in the bullying thread . I’ve had no other option than to pass the correspondence about this transaction to the relevant people along with my concerns . I am glad that your transactions have gone well with this person Wampus but wonder what you would have done if the roles were reversed & you got a damaged Windstone & a seller who maintains it wasn’t their fault and ignoring the problem & I was the one who was happy with the outcome .
Scenceable – the inside box was placed upside down inside the outer box so the Windstone was upside down whenever the outer box was the proper way up . If the Windstone had been adequately packed this would’t have matterered but because the Windstone had not been shipped in its original box as I had specifically asked & been told it would be , and the packaging used was totally indaquate for this Windstone the damage occured . I have already tried & thought that a solution had been agreed but the seller but now find that the seller is ignoring the issue .
I have never said whether this person is a forum member or not but what I will say is that I am not the first person to speak publically about this issue on the forum & up until this point have tried to use private communication to resolve this with the seller .They say that folks who have been bullied can themselves become bullies , perhaps this person that sent these worrying messages is one such person but I guess they would need to recognise & address it themselves but as you rightly said Sasha it’s easy to be nasty on a computer when you don’t have to face someone & I think that’s exactly what this person is doing , just as Sasha said , picking on someone to make themselves feel better .
Yes there are a lot of people on the forum going through tough times , many of them quietly without saying anything , others embracing the support network on this forum but each with their own personal hardship & heartache . I lost my father 18 years ago , he didn’t make it to his 60’s & my mother is battling cancer for the third time after having a stroke last year but I would’t dare say my circumstances are worse than those others are having to deal with in their lives . Up until now only a few forum members are aware of what’s been happening in my life as that’s the way I choose to deal with it & I only mention it now to show that everyone has there own way of getting through the difficulties in their lives & whatever way they choose I hope it brings them some comfort .
You say that words can be taken the wrong way Sasha & I agree at tmes they can be misinterpreted but when people use words like the examples I’ve given with the person I’m having problems with I can’t interpret anything but hate .Yes thankyou for starting this thread Sasha . I too am having problems on the forum with someone name calling & saying horrible things behind my back but not to my face or PMing me but to others here on the forum – things like they hate me , I’m a b@#$h & wishing that I’d drop off the face of the earth . I obviously can’t defend myself as they’re not saying these things directly to me & I suspect if I sent a PM asking why they’re doing this they wouldn’t reply .
I agree with you also Ladyfirebird that we can read things the wrong way to what has been meant & I’ve been guilty of that on this forum myself , thinking that someone is being sharp or nippy when that’s not what they’ve meant , but when words like the above are used there is no mistaking what the writer means .It’s difficult to trust people after something like this happens but I suppose you just have to realise that one bad apple is not representative of most Windstone sellers . I have to say that while this is the most upsetting episode I’ve had as a buyer there are plenty of positive transactions with honest Windstone sellers both here and elsewhere who prove that the vast majority of times trust is not misplaced as it was this time .
I think sellers should be aware that it’s their responsibility to pursue the matter if there’s a claim for damage but of course in this case a claim wouldn’t have been entertained because of the lack of appropriate packing & the actual way the Windstone had been packed ie upside down .
Sorry Wolfen I didn’t see your question but yes I do have pictures of the packaging & not only was the Windstone not in his original box with inadequate packing but the poor thing was packed UPSIDE DOWN – an Australian Windstone ????????
