I could find the time, I think to do an ACEO or two. Count me in.
Edited original post.
I figured he was like corn snakes, who change color as they get older. They’re always so bright and saturated when they’re babies.
I gotta agree with Poem’s last comment, I can’t understand why you sent the money off and just didn’t back out to start with when you started hearing that other people didn’t get their stuff. I’m not sure why you’re surprised. I’m guessing you’ve got a little more faith in folks than I do.
Any rate, keep clawing your way up the chain of command at your bank until someone is able to do something for you, or you run out of options. They may be right though, if they do anything for you, it’ll probably be out of the goodness of their hearts (whatever that is) as opposed to doing it because they are legally required.
Huh. Must be so bright because its still a baby? I don’t think I’ve ever seen one quite that color before. Neat!
Wow, what sort of snake is your prospective new acquisition, MG?
Taken up making some things by hand. Collars and toys are all I have in my etsy shop so far, but I’ll be make some toys in a couple more different colors over the next night or two, and trying to use up the collar material I have in the house before I make a bigger order for collar hardware, then I’ll be making leashes and martingale collars too. I’m not sure I want to try harnesses yet.
I can get stuff personalized, especially leashes, martingales and the buckle collars, when I have the hardware for those (the fully adjustable collars it might be a little funny on, because of the slide).
If you have a request for a collar or something, lemme know. I have webbing and ribbon in a few different patterns and colors.
Just thought I’d get a shout out, even if the shop is small at the moment.

I think I tried to help her sell off a bunch of her items and she ripped my head of after I tried my best to help her out and I actually got a couple of local forum member so help her out at her store and she was really mean to them as well. Maybe I’m wrong…
Hi drag0n! Yes, the owners name IS Gail – and sounds like you got a taste of what many folks trying to help her out discover. I’m sorry you were treated that way but I assure you, if ya’ll come visit ME, you will be treated very nice!! Besides it would be cool meeting forum members LOL I know there are some nearby (or close enough anyway). If any forum members come in to the shop – and identify themselves – they will get an extra gift for coming in 🙂
Heh, she wasn’t necessarily *mean* to us while we were there, just afterward. I went up with Kitsunelady last summer, remember? She didn’t really allow us to help other than to take some pictures of her stock, then fussed at us after ward via email that we’d disrupted her shop, and some other things. *shrug*
I do, however, remember the damaged pieces you’re talking about. But she did have some nice things.
No, the original painting is 9×12.
If you were looking to mat him, he could probably fit into a mat for an 8.5×11, since there’s some room at the edges, if you wanted.
Poems wrote:It’s a shame the little Brick and Mortar stores that are going out of business, the cute curiosity gift shops we find in small towns across America. I have worked at one off and on for over ten years (mostly off), and we used to sell a lot of Windstones back in the day, before eBay and one of a kind pieces became the must-haves. In a way, the eBay sales are really hurting regular sales (don’t know if Windstone has seen a decline in orders)but I’m noticing a lot of great deals lately, on the production pieces. I suppose for every shop going out of business, a new one starts up or is replaced by online stores. Those shops that do offer online sales are even going out of business. One reason or another, I guess.
Right now I am helping Bear Book & Candle go out of business – This time it’s for real (she’s done this in the past but THIS TIME it’s for real). Her prices are high, but she is offering 50% off Windstones (prices below are her store prices so take 1/2 off). There are no rare pieces, just regular production, and most have been on display in the store and some may be chipped or damaged. I typed up a listing of what pieces she has and SOME MAY ALREADY BE GONE by the time I post this. If you are in the area – come by and stock up for Christmas; I am working there Tues/Thurs 11-5 and Sat 11-6

I hope you can do some good in keeping things organized for her. Another forum member and I went and tried to help her ourselves last summer and it…didn’t go so well. I live a couple of hours from Belleville, but I think I’ll pass. You could post this list in the flea market, if you or she is/are willing to ship.
I’m sorry Drag0n.
Yes, they can and will let you know when it’s time. The choice is up to you whether or not you turn loose gracefully and give them the last gift you’re able to give, which is a quiet, painless passing. Under a shade tree in the sunshine and the breeze, if you’re able (which I am glad I was able to do for my dog).
I hope your house settles back down sooner rather than later and this isn’t the beginning of a chain reaction like you fear.

I’m with you in belief and opinion. I certainly don’t think those things are anything to mess around with, period. I have heard plenty of terrible stories and while some folks may get away unscathed, in some instances, people are messing with doors they cannot close.
I’m also of the mind that you are in your mother’s house, and regardless of how silly you think she’s being, her house, her rules.
I want to hear some of these stories. >.> I’ve never met anyone who’s claimed to have been haunted or had any sort of supernatural experience at all. You see it on the internet and in magazines a lot, but there’s no way I believe it, given the sources…I’m a Doubting Thomas, and agree with Dr. House – people lie. A lot. I have to see it myself to believe it (Show-Me State, you know!), so I’ve always viewed Ouija boards as nothing but a game for teenagers to try and scare each other with. I had one when I was a teenager, and I can tell you right now, nothing happened. We tried pretty hard, too. 😀 I’m definitely of the opinion that the only power that sort of stuff has over you is the power you give it with your own wild imagination.
Anyhow, I think that necklace is cute…but agree with Rusti – your mom’s house (and her credit card), her rules. =
While it has nothing to do with Ouiji boards, I have seen kids, who were really Bad Kids, flinch, and cover their ears and squirm in pain during a singing from Teen Challenge (You might know them, they’re a group of young men who have gone through some terrible spots in their lives to come to Christ, and they used to sing hymns and some contemporary Christian at the elementary school I attended) so I am a firm believer in demons.
I was sharing stories with another Christian, who told me about a tarot reader who related to her that she could always tell when someone was Christian, they were surrounded by so much light and power that she was never able to read properly when they were nearby. Followed with a story from another Christian who was uncomfortably present while some of his friends were playing with a Ouiji board. His friends were instructed not to allow him to touch it, or it wouldn’t work.

I had a look at the map, the train does stop in Homewood, but it looks like Union station would still be closer to you. 😉
I’m sorry too, that this is so sudden for you, but given some of your past stories, I’m glad for you that you’re getting out of your mother’s house!
Chicago huh? Hope the Amtrak to Carbondale sometime and come say hi. I’ll take you for a hike in Giant City park. 😉
