Congratulations on your first test piece! I’m glad it went to someone who can relate it to its geologic origins. Are you employed as a geologist? I got my BS in Geology years ago but have never used it – what a waste! Fascinating field!

I think the Riser still looks good…maybe not how he was painted but it still is gorgeous! And the coiled dragon’s damage is minor – a touch of sculpting clay and a dab of paint and voila! Good catches.

Thankies all! It’s nice to have such a wonderful family here. I must admit though, that I’m scared to death for friday… The only good thimg about all this mess is that my weight has gone down since I can’t eat much. I’m down from a size 22 to a size 16 :p

That is so not the way to lose weight! Best of luck to you and your boys on Friday.

Where did the paint come from originally? If it is frightfully expensive, maybe the color shift hatchers can be the first Kick Start project…

    Thanks Falcolf!

    And here he is!
His name is Kwakeri. Must admit he’s very nice and very detailed! But I’m not sure if I’ll be keeping him. I may list a trade or sale ad =)

What does his name mean? I remember someone was giving us Japanese names on the chatline during one of the Livestreams but I’m can’t recall what they meant.

Wow! I am loving this “volcanic” scheme. You know what would be awesome, a set of hatching royalty in this with the eggs looking like hunks of blackened charcoal <3

Or better yet, like eggs made out of obsidian (Volcanic glass) or better yet, snowflake obsidian (black volcanic glass that got rained on while still hot)

This isn’t our only chance to get a young unicorn of this design — Melody has painted at least two more, three if you count the unicorn with the blackbirds (bottom row, last three on the right)

The golden unicorn and the blue unicorn both have the tree designs on their sides and the black one has the blackbirds on a red sky

Outstanding griffin, P.S. I love your new color scheme!!(pictures of other sculpts were posted by Pam) I may just make my first bid on a griffin!
    Thank you.

The raffle prizes are up on Melody’s blog – AWESOME!!!!
I wouldn’t have known they weren’t perfect if she hadn’t mentioned it. All three are lovely – its going to be hard for me to pick a favorite if I win…Please let me be faced with that conundrum! ***fingers crossed*****

Milkstashe is awesome, silly name but he wears his paint so handsomely! 😀

Pam named him during one of the Livestreams and she was adament! “This one is Milkstache!” With his white upper lip, I think its kinda cute… 😀
