He came out looking fabulous! Loving colors and the color choice for the antique was a good one. Paint more 🙂 !
I don’t think she means green + amethyst but rather actual green amethyst. Amethyst isn’t always purple but come in green as well. Here’s a pic I found of it:
Oh oops! Very pretty though. That color would be very lovely to ;).
Thanks everyone :).
Purpleturtle, in the last picture, the emperor dragon, is that a rainbow that just come out looking super dark from the lightin or is he a darker rainbow color? He’s super pretty looking like a rainy day oil spill!
That’s a REALLY crappy pic of the gang *lol*. He’s actually quite more vibrant than that. But I have noticed that some of the rainbows – especially the production ones – varied in intensity.
Those Poads look like they’re having a religious initiation–love it! 😀
I wanted a way to display all of them, but still showcase their cute butts. When I was done I had a perfect spot for my Happy Cat.
ALL HAIL THE HAPPY CAT!!!I’ve noticed that a lot of the colors on ebay have been very gem like and I had this idea, green amethyst, it’s this really delicate green. I was thinking that it’d be a great color to see you work with 😀
I concur! I love green and purple together. It reminds me of fluorite or alexandrite. Good idea, grayfire artz :).
I always love see everyones pretties! I haven’t posted for awhile, so I’ll show off a small sample of my collection.
That’s it for now. I will post more pics of the rest of my collection later on.Hoping for the best for you and a quick recovery!
I know this color is a pain to reproduce, but I really wish this color could be done on more of the dragon sculpts for the store as limited production. I love my curlie and fledgie dragons in this scheme and would buy any other dragons in a heartbeat if they were made available. Needless to say, Ebay dragons are out of my league as well…
Oops! Double-post!…
is it a secret :p ?….
If they made these as a pyo I’d paint a few, but for some reason the extra details on the scales really bug me. It seems too busy – for a pyo anyways. I like that the current kirin PYO has a smoother body just because it makes it easier to paint patterns and details on it. The body shape seems more stocky on this original Kirin to. It’s still a gorgeous sculpt, but I can see why Melody ended up with the current Kirin.
It would make a really cool production item IMHO. It theoretically would be a more affordable item for those who want a kirin sculpt, but can’t afford the larger adult sculpts.
I do love the forked horn though. It would be cool if we could pick horn types like we can for the eye color. I know – we’er always want more *lol*.Your pyos always amaze me!
Oooo! I love how he’s looking so far. The colors you chose are great!
PT–I absolutely LOVE Ritz. That might possibly be my favorite small PYO dragon. (I have two tuxedo cats…and the expression on that PYO captures any cat perfectly anyway. LOL) Great work!
Thanks! I always thought that to. I’m tempted to do a whole series of kitty colored PYO little dragons.
Beautiful! I particularly like the keepers. So bright and sunny :).
Mythical creature – dragon or a werewolf. Or maybe a hairy, mammalian dragon for good measure ;).
Real animal – any of the big cats. Like a tiger or puma. -
