I didnt bid. Too much yellow. If I go for a pink emperor, I dont want it to have that much of ANY other color on it, let alone yellow, which I hate.
I’m sorta with you on that there was too much yellow on these pink dragons, although I don’t necessarily “hate” yellow.

take it you don’t like pink, Adaneth :p …
I, on the other hand, would still love to see some pink dragons for the store. I liked the ones on ebay, but they had to much yellow on them.I believe the name piggy is an actual mess up – misinterpretation of the original clay that made money banks. the name of the clay was “pygg” and over the years the name morphed into “pig”….
Ah! Here’s the the Wikapedia link 🙂 …
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piggy_bankCool idea BTW. I would LOVE a dragon bank. I would definitely buy one. I don’t have any spare money to put into it thanks to my Windstone addiction, but whatever 😛
If I could have voted for PYO flapcats more than once I would of.
But my other votes included the hippogriff and the Hippocampus.Wow! I love him. He’s so bright and bold :).
I use simple saran wrap on all of my horns. It won’t stick to the gold when you peel it off, and if it keeps coming unravelled you can use a tiny piece of tape to keep it in place. It works great for me!
Just be sure if you use tape or wrap of any sort that you don’t get any sticking on the base of the horn – if you accidentally paint over it and you peel it off qucikly, it can take some paint with it!
That’s a good idea, Hannah  . I’m going to try that when I paint my next kirin.
Thanks guys  .
Interestingly enough, I don’t usually put anything on the horn at all to protect it. I just carefully scrap the paint off it when I’m done painting it. I usually damp it down with a wet brush. I don’t recommend this technique, but as of yet I personally haven’t had any issues.
But when I spay the completed PYO with the clear coat I do use painters tape on the horn. The clear coat can dull the luster of the horn (and the eyes – if they are already in place). Be careful if use tape. Make sure it’s not too sticky. It can leave residue or worse yet, peel the thin gold plating off.February 8, 2012 at 5:16 am in reply to: Koishii and Grayfire Combo Sakura Tiger Blossom Keeper on ebay staring at .99!! #872887*gasp*
Absolutely STUNNING! I love, love LOVE her. Man, I gotta get a dragon from you guys. Someday…What I was meaning…to safe guard the paint that i put on there, should I clear coat it before i sparkle it?
I never do and it seems to work okay for me so far. I spray the sparkle paint directly on the paint.
This has been brought up quite a bit.
I use the expensive stuff Windstone uses. Something like $80 or $90 for 4 ounces of paint. That stuff is NOT a clear coat and requires to be coated over after use.
From what I understand about the clear effects (the inexpensive stuff), people say it’s an actual clear coat. As in you don’t have to coat it again after using it. But I’ve never used it. If you’re not sure, I’m sure clear coating over it won’t hurt. That was my understanding to. I have only been able to use the inexpensive brand in question and never clear-coated it. It seems to hold its own without an additional clear coat anyways.
I’m crossing all fingers and toes for a PYO cat. I’m almost desperate to have my cats past and present immortalized with a PYO.
I’m with you there. So WANT a pyo flap cat. Not only do I want to immortalize my poor kittys that have pass – I really would love to paint some funky fantasy colored kitties. But I also know that Melody is crazy busy. With all of our squeaking, I sometimes imagine us forum members as a nest full of baby birds begging for grubs .
Good Luck . I like him , but I can’t afford him this month . Having a broke month again . Need to get my mom a day bed next month .
Money seems to be tight everywhere even though on the news they say the economy is getting better :/
I’m surprised that no one has bid on this one – yet 😉 . Your beauties always seem to fly. But it seems like most people are holding off and PYOs aren’t the hot thing right now. One reason I haven’t bothered selling any of my stuff for a while. Hopefully people will be more willing to spend when they start getting their tax returns.
I know I’ll probably get scolded for “bumping” this thread
Pfft! Of course not 🙂 A squeak is a squeak!
oooh…pink fledgies with lavender eyes=love!
I know I’ll probably get scolded for “bumping” this thread, but I just saw the pink dragons in the “ebay cart” thread. I desperately want pink dragons for the store. Preferably like the Pearly Lap. Please!
