I hope you have a wonderful birthday today!!!
Wishing you the most wonderful birthday, Melody!!!
I think she looks incredible!!! Not only is she immaculately sculpted, but she’s painted so beautifully as well! I think you’re filled with impeccable talent and imagination. 😀
Although I don’t post too often, I too have always enjoyed everything that you do here! You bring humor, talent, sincerity, and friendliness to this forum and it certainly gives this place a much more hospitable feel than any other forum I’ve ever been on.
Because of everything you do, we wish you all the best in life! Relax and you will see that there is always a light at the end of the tunnel! (Especially for someone as wonderful as you! 🙂 )Huh…. I wonder what caused it then! Since there are occasionally a few creamy white Windstone dragons that pop up on ebay, I wonder if it’s just that their paint is slightly sensitive to heat exposure (from light bulbs, sunlight, or from other sources). That would make sense on why your Mother Dragon only darkened on her front, and not her back! (Again, I could be wrong but it’s a thought!)
Congratulations, Siberakh!!! Both of these prizes are so gorgeous! No matter which one you chose, you’ll definitely be bringing home a beauty!!! 😀
Out of curiosity, what is the very first photo in this post? (The one with the gold scales marked “1-B”) I’ve been trying my hardest to figure it out on my own, but have had no luck whatsoever! Haha…
It looks like a piece of scale chain mail hehe 🙂
Pam might be able to say for sure (she took the pictures), but I think it’s a shed skin from a reptile.
I thought it looked like “scale chain mail” too, Brazyboo! Haha!
That’s crazy if it’s a shedding of reptile skin! I’ve never seen one look like that before! (…Maaaaybe it’s from one of the gold dragons that’s still lurking around in the factory. 😉 )

This is a long shot (since I know it’s hard to cast these beauties), ….but I would fall over if one day we got to see Oriental Dragons in Rainbow! With their arched backs, I think a rainbow coloration would suit them perfectly!
Stephanie, do you happen to burn candles? If so, then that could have caused your white Mother Dragon to turn cream.
Because most candles release a decent amount of heat and soot, it can cause discoloration and staining to things around the house over a period of time. Seeing how her scales are white, her discoloration (even if it’s subtle!) would definitely be more noticeable on her than on a colored dragon.
(…I could be wrong, but it’s definitely a possibility if you burn candles!)March 4, 2012 at 6:41 am in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #875678Huh… I came across this sculpture on DeviantArt. It sure looks a lot like the production colored Mother Ki-Rin. 🙁 (In fact, this person openly admits that she copied her Windstone piece so she could mount it on her wall…)

(Thank’s for finding the right link, Scenceable!)March 4, 2012 at 6:39 am in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #875681Yep! That’s the one! Thank you so much! (It’s strange! I checked the link and it works okay on my computer. I guess it has a mind of its own!)
-That’s crazy that someone drew the Windstone Ki-Rin family and posted it on there! I would think they would’ve needed to ask permission first to see if it was okay or not…
I LOVE THIS THREAD!!!! I think it’s brilliant! (I’ll gladly join in on this! I’ll take some pictures real soon and put them up here!) The more Poads pictures, the merrier!!!
I am sincerely SO sorry! I was instantly offered the Copper Patina Emperor – which was the one piece that I thought was the biggest ‘long shot’ (since I’ve never seen any for sale outside of the Windstone store!)
I always wanted an Emperor (especially in this color!) so I just couldn’t refuse! From the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry!!! I just wish I had something else to offer you… 🙁
I’m so sorry to hear about what’s going on with your kitty… 🙁 I remember when a similar situation happened to my cat, Pickles. His vet said that even the best, well-behaved male cats tend to have a lot of unusual accidents when they are having any form of a urinary problem. This is due to associating discomfort or pain with the litter box, so they look elsewhere to go.
Thankfully, their accidents tend to stop once their health gets back on track! But until then, my vet recommended placing wee-wee pads down in the “accident areas” (and of course another small litter box or two). I found that while my kitty was recovering, it helped TREMENDOUSLY! And once he recovered, he went back to the litter box and lived a very long and happy life!
I don’t know if this will be helpful in your situation, but it’s worth a try! 🙂
