Too cool! The most I’ve ever found were fossil shells around the Great Lakes (along with loads of iron filings), some small shark teeth on the beach at St. Augustine and a few spear heads locally.
The mammoth, bison and camel fossils are awesome finds! I wonder if the bones settled there after the animals died or if the animals were traveling as a group….

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameAlso, I hope those pegs show up somewhere soon. I have completely fallen in love with the dark one with the red/orange blaze. Stunning work!
I really liked that color combo too! But if they became available I’d stand down. 🙂 I don’t collect the pegasi, but it doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the beautiful colors.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameSo after going through pictures that another forum member posted i saw lots of different colored young Pegasus…..is this the next grab? That would be super awesome!
nooooo! I tried to do them, but they are too dang hard to paint! I don’t like painting pieces that just don’t cooperate. It took me a week to paint 25, and they really don’t look that great. Even the gb young unicorns don’t take that long! It’s the wings. They are a total nuisance.
Ah well then. Perhaps they could go on the raffle prize cart or something. Young unicorns have been really nice each time I’ve seen ’em. Maybe if they’re the GB I’ll have the funds to snag one this time. 🙂

That would be great! Because it’ll give me more time to save money and the horse lovers get a great GB on top of it.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameJanuary 24, 2016 at 5:00 pm in reply to: On a deperate search for a Flion ? Any suggestions ? #940466First and foremost, welcome to the forum! I hope you enjoy your time here!
Okay, definitely try Ruffian first. I hope you get lucky! If you don’t, be persistent on eBay. Occasionally you see Flion figures pop up there. That’s where I acquired mine.
However, even if you can’t find one on eBay…do not despair. At some point, Melody is considering sculpting a new Flion figure. I couldn’t tell you when it’s going to happen (or even if it’s definitely going to) because things tend to be super busy for the Windstone crew (and especially Melody) but it is being considered. At least as of the posts I’ve seen elsewhere on the forum.
Good luck!

(Secondary Bump – I also enjoy how Rylorien left off. I’m just drawing a huge blank at the moment. Having a bit of a herp a derp in my creativity at the moment. Perhaps one of the other writers?)

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameMy Whine so far, in 2016:
My printer died! It is like losing your partner; My business depends on a good printer. I need to print invoices, packing slips, shipping labels, etc. I HAD enough earned to buy a replacement, until I had to ship the weeks purchase orders…Overseas shipping fees more than Doubled! I ended up spending more than $100.00 USD just to ship 15 packages! (Only 5 of which were Overseas) I knew that shipping prices were increased, but I didn’t expect them to go up THAT much.
It was my own fault though. I should have updated my shipping settings before I re-opened my shop. All those purchase orders came in within 24 hours of me re-opening. Lesson learned.
Now…I could use a nice large glass of the real stuff. Merlot perhaps?… *sighs* 🙁
Damn! That’s always the way with computer hardware isn’t it!? Shipping cost increases gave me a surprise a couple months ago too, so you definitely got sympathies from me. If you don’t mind used stuff, you could try looking in second hand stores for a printer. Sometimes you get lucky. And I certainly wish you luck!

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameSo are these color shift paints being used/experimented with something that can be hand brushed on, or just air brushed?
I’m an old fashioned brush painter – I don’t have an air brush and probably don’t see myself getting one in the near future – maybe once I retire in 7+ years or so, but not now. What is the brand & can I get it from where? Are these the Automobile shift color paints?
I Love the mixed shift paint effects and using these as accent colors – the wolves and that Hipp PYO are Really Cool!
Yep…They can! You can purchase the pigments in a few places online. They can be mixed with various carriers, and used in many applications. I have been using them in my studio for years now. Some of the semi-metallic treatments I use in my eye-making use the same pigments.
Oh Boy! Is there a Brand name you can point me in the direction of? 😀
I have a link to a place that sells some. There are other sites too, but…This is the one I order it from.
This is one of the pigment groups I was talking about:
http://solarcolordust.com/products/copy-of-chameleon-pigments-blue-green-gold-ghost-series-e720f756-c849-4a0a-a424-a76bb77318aaIf you do not want to mix your own, Golden makes the same colors in their own series:
Interference Green/Orange: http://www.dickblick.com/items/00638-7366/
Interference Violet/Green: http://www.dickblick.com/items/00638-6596/
Interference Green/Blue: http://www.dickblick.com/items/00638-5606/
…and many more.I’ve seen Solar Dust in my search. They have a lot of interesting pigment powders. Glow in the dark, color shift, metallic….and interestingly enough thermal reactive pigments. I’ve never ordered from them (at the time I looked they were out of stock). Instead I got pigment powder from a well reviewed eBay seller that was selling a variety of color shifts, as well as holographic pigment powder in silver (25 grams metal flake 0.008) and black (ditto). When I get them I’ll test them out and see how well they work. Finding out that my solvent based color shift paint might bubble and flake on gypsum over time motivated me to look for a replacement.

But unicorns would beat a dragon!A dragon is best, the most wanted: a dragon

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameI do agree that both the male and sitting spectral look spectacular! I’m still holding a candle for a lap/old warrior in cosmic shift though, since I want one of those sculpts.
And as much as I love the cosmic shift scheme on the sitting spectral…ugh…sitting spectrals. They remind me of bookends. For whatever reason, the sculpt just seems so flat; there’s no expression or movement to them. I think my perception as such is partly due to the dichroic eyes but mostly due to the form language (the wings are awkward–one dimensional, steepled together, and small when compared to the body size–and the body is pretty compact/solid). That doesn’t stop it from looking gorgeous though. And the silver accents are fantastic!
Laurie’s reptilian-themed pieces never disappoint. I do think it would be fun to see some of these schemes on sculpts other than the emperor; however, I feel that the emperor is actually the one most suited for displaying those patterns. Emperors are the only dragons with full-body visibility–open wings, scaly underbelly, nearly perfect vertical bilateral symmetry, the works–with exception to perhaps secret keepers. I’d imagine the forms of the emperor (the upright symmetry) make it much easier to replicate a pattern on both halves of a body rather than needing to account for curves and bulges of something like an old warrior that’s obviously laying reclined.
Very poignant points! Out of the Spectral dragons, I actually prefer the Rising Spectral. The pose is much more dynamic than the sitting spectral (though I’d still like one copy of both sculpts). My favorite dragon sculpt is the Scratching Dragon. It’s not symmetrical in pose, but I think it would lend itself well to the reptile patterns.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameI’ve never liked the spectral eyes. Saying that, the new sitting spectral in Cosmic Shift is gorgeous! Somehow the eyes are just fine for me in that color. I may have to seriously think about this one!
I think because some of the paint is color shift and then spectral eyes are also color shifting. The concept seems to match together quite well. Plus I love all the silver accent spots on this guy.
