Though I’d love a new production dragon, I do think they’d sell best as dragon PYO and wolf production. As has been said, the wolves would appeal to many people who might not ordinarily be interested in Windstones.
I already got my old green fledgie thanks to someone here; I don’t see anything on the list I really want. I’d like an old green SK most, durn an old green anything that wasn’t produced in that color (well except for spectral, they want dark colors to me). Or the PYO keeper!
Maybe I’ll go ahead with the black peg, they’re nice in that color.
I bought her on eBay, from seller 21bjc. She was described as mint, but I think the fleabites predate shipping. ( I can live with fleabites) The sale pic is a little fuzzy, so I can’t tell. She was wrapped in a couple paper towels and tossed into the bottom of a box with some wadded up newspapers thrown on top for shipping. Thankfully it was a sturdy box, and she’s a small round piece!
I’m resurrecting this to let folks know it’s still going on. I won a mother coiled recently, and it turns out I beat another forum member (sorry!). A few days later, the other member contacted me, saying they’d received a second chance offer from the seller, who was refusing me as a security risk (WTF?!? and the payment had gone through!). They contacted the seller, who never responded. I got worried and also tried to contact the seller, who didn’t respond to me either. Fortunately, the dragon arrived safe and sound a couple days ago despite a piss-poor packing job, and the other forum member didn’t fall for it.
I’ve bought other (non-Windstone) things safely via second chance before, so I guess if you get one, make sure it’s in ‘My Messages’ on your eBay page, contact the seller first via eBay, and send the email to that spoof@ebay.com site if it’s a scammer.
Cool! My mom wants all the hoofers, and I planned on getting her the pegasi in black. For some reason, I think they work better than the unicorns do in black.
Hey, don’t feel bad. 😀 I’ve paid probably WAY too much for some of mine, recently even when I can’t claim ignorance. And I probably will in the future. They’re worth what they’re worth to you, and what you’re willing/able to pay at the time, that’s all.
There are no too few, we all started somewhere. I only have 16 that are mine, but I love them as much as anyone’s collection.
Here’s my newest addition as of this week, an emerald coiled mother. I was worried she wouldn’t get here, but she did! (leaves the peacock riser the only regular productin piece I need for my Western dtagon collection yay!)
She does have a couple fleabites- I figured maybe on the emerald parts I’d try mixing some bright green with green interference to touch it up. One is where there is some gold wash overlay, though. Would gold interference work for that, or should I really dilute some gold paint?Thanks so much for all the lovely comments! 😀 I was feeling rather poorly about him after the lukewarm reception he got. If my mother or a friend don’t end up taking him, I’ll go ahead and ebay him- after I find the missing felt pad for his bottom lol. That’s what I get for setting him aside!
Maybe I can try the dragon for me now! And I do have an idea for a griffin, which would be sent on to a new home.
I FINALLY finished my 1st PYO I got back in February. It’s a wolf that I painted from photos of my fiance’s old husky. I was going to give it to him, but he doesn’t seem to really like it, so it’ll either go to my mom (who does) or a friend, or I’ll try eBaying it. (when it started getting the “well, if you changed this” and I don’t know about ____, try that” I’d set it aside, I never like my own stuff anyhow)
The Golden glaze I’d gotten said ‘satin’, but it was thick, and dried glossy. Think I’ll go back to the cheapo spray-on stuff I used when I made some crafts.

If a couple do come out, even if eBay’ed hugely-expensive solid core ones, I’ve been getting extra hours recently, my CC just gave me a big increase, and I’m going for it.Off topic- do they allow factory drop in visits? I recently had a layover in L.A., and if I’d been able to get away from the airport, I thought of trying to visit. Probably won’t be out that way again though.
Squeak old green SK squeak! Though I think I’m alone on that one.
I like the peacock on the Spectrals actually. Everything else I own is either old green if possible or emerald/empea if not, but peacock seems to suit the Spectrals’ spookiness better. I would think BEP would look great on them also.
I only have the sitting Spectral, but plan on ordering the riser ASAP.I already have an empea OW, and he IS beautiful!
