Class pics were up so I picked out a few that stood out to me, in no particular order…
Seems a few of them are close enough in color to be considered siblings.
It’s nice to see so much red. I don’t remember any previous grab bag having so many red pieces.
Was there no class photo of the oddball batch? I’m really curious about what they look like.
Thank you very much!:)
I’m putting in a squeak for a LP release of Smoldering Ember for all the hoofed animals (+ the griffins… when was the last time they got a new release too?).
He’s a real stunner! Good luck to those that enter to win him!
Thank you Safire.:)
Aaaand, here is my latest piece!
This one was used as a test paint for some new colors I had gotten, mostly air brush paint.
It has some of the acrylic color shift paint on its legs and holographic glitter on its fur, but the camera didn’t pick it up very well.
That Oriental looks really nice so far.
Pastel Rainbow looks great on the kirin. It seems to fit the hoofed animals really well.
Is that sitting Oriental planned to be a production piece or a PYO?
And what color is that Adult Oriental sneaking into the picture in the background? It kind of looks like Prismatic Spring to me.
Thanks everyone.:)
The person that makes the black paint makes other scented paints aswell. It’s pretty neat.
Thank you very much!^^
Finished the hippocampus!
The body is painted in Shift paint, which is supposed to be see-through at room temperature and change colors around 75°F but it had a little… interaction with the varnish and now looks rainbow-y at room temp.
Oops.
Its name is Depths.
*dusts this old thread off*
I finally have *a* workstation set up so I can paint again. It’s not much but eh it’s better than nothing.
This was the piece that I painted for the PYO Swap. Putting it here for… propriety I think is the right word. It’s called Autumn Masquerade; the cape is based off of an oak leaf and she has a few more hearts and swirls on her opposite side which I forgot to photograph.
And my current WIP. The black is Black 2.0 aka the world’s almost-blackest black. It smells like cherry soda.
Mine just arrived! From the class photos it’s in the first picture, second row, third from right.
It’s a bit difficult to tell from the lighting but the colors fade from silver to purple to blue.
She’s nice but feels very “middle of the road” to me. If she really speaks to you feel free to contact me with what piece you got. Otherwise I’ll be checking the classifieds to what other kitties are for trade.
The class pics are up on Melody’s blog.
There are a lot of nice ones, it’s hard to pick an absolute favorite from the bunch.
This one did stand out a bit. I’d probably want to see more irl pics of it but if someone does happen to get it and would like to trade for the piece I get contact me and let me know.
Also if I happen to get a green one that someone really likes feel free to contact me about trading it.
I use Americana varnishes. They work great and I haven’t had an issue with them yellowing, peeling, etc. They have the regular gloss, satin, and matte versions and also a soft touch that I’ve wanted to try.
