You really need to stop doing such wonderful and cute pieces. My pocketbook is screaming at me LOL!! I absolutely adore the strawberries!
But I need the money to buy more PYOs and tiny paintbrushes.🥺
Thank you though! I was a little worried how the strawberries would come out because they were so small, but the end result was fantastic. Hopefully the next strawberry-sune comes out just as good.
A lovely strawberry kitsune has arrived! This is Sweet Strawberry Swirl-sune! 🍓
Her body is painted in a swirl of white and pink with a light brushing of gold highlights in spots and there are (fake) candy pieces sprinkled over the (again fake) chocolate sauce covering the top of her head.
Maybe not surprisingly she is part of my ice cream series. 🍓🍨😋I really like how the strawberries came out on this gal so I plan to paint another strawberry-themed piece (another kitsune to be more precise) once it arrives.
This is also being sold in an auction-style format both here in the classifieds and on the WE Fan Club Facebook page. Here’s the link for the ad on this site if you’re interested:
https://windstoneeditions.com/members/mika/listings/view/1660364/sweet-strawberry-swirl-sune-pyo-kitsune-for-auction/Thank you! His eyes make him look just the tiniest bit cheeky in the close-up photo.
The unicorn looks like it’s strawberry-themed.
A two part July raffle? It’s getting fairly late to call it a June raffle.
Thanks everyone! He’ll be traveling to his new home with a buddy once I finish the commission I’m working on. Once that’s done I hope to get back to working on the rest of the WIPs I have. The kitty griffin and kitsunes have been waiting a while for their turn.

Edit: looking at it more it might just be heavily damaged and badly repaired as opposed to a knockoff. Any second opinions?
Took longer than anticipated but the Oriental Dragon is done!
This is Frolicking Summer Fun!
He’s holding a Children’s Day fish flag in his claws. I made it to hide a big casting error on the arm. I think it came out quite cute and whimsical.
Someone has called dibs on this piece so it’ll be headed out soon-ish if they still want it. If not it’ll be up for sale.
My deepest condolances Ela those are absolutely tragic circumstances to loose a loved one over. I’m super glad to read that you have a lot of people around you that you can lean on and turn to right now.
I really hope something can be done to stop that driver from potentially ruining more lives in the future.
Finished another piece in the ice cream series!🍦 This chick is Chillin Vanillen.
Her body has little speckles on it like vanilla ice cream. I added a touch of color to her tail for some personality.
She’ll be up for sale in the classified ads in a bit.
Also here’s the piece I’m currently working on, another koi-themed Oriental Dragon. The red and black are alcohol inks. It needs one more color on the body, then I can move on to the rest of the piece.
Also he’s holding a Children’s Day fish flag.
From the “Windstone Editions” Facebook page, posted today (June 3).
Melody says, “The next grab bag I am working on is koi qi-lins. These are all inspired by real koi colors and patterns, and koi colors are really nutty! Dusty blue, white, yellow and bright red? Sure why not. My cell phone sees yellows as garish acid yellow, but they are really a softer more golden color.
These guys don’t have their little pewter antlers yet. … The eyes aren’t the actual eyes. They are photoshopped!”From the comments – “Do we know how many will be in this batch? Thanks!”
Melody’s reply – “How many should I make? I can never guess. The last batch was about 220 I think.”
I think this would be a good opportunity to make a mock listing to gauge interest via the wait list. Since the koi qi-lin price will likely be comparable to the fantasy color price you can use that as the estimated price for these, with the usual disclaimer that price/final design may vary and all that.
Looks like a mini marshmallow!
Nope! It’s not a food item.
