I think I’ll add more mane to the display side. The first test painted pieces always get too dark! I guess it is because gypsum is really absorbent when it is fresh.
An additional bit of mane behind the ear would be very cute, and make the forelock not seem so lonely. These guys are lovely though. I especially like the dapple grey.
The unicorn looks like it’s strawberry-themed.
I was thinking pomagranate! 🙂
Reminded me a bit of the Sanguine one Gina did a while back.
Some of the more natural colored newer test paints are either satin or matte also. I know I liked the less shiny finish on the old hoofers particularly. It makes their coats look more like horsehair. Scales can be shiny though.
If the pad got really cigarette stanky or something they may have removed it and sanded the bottom smooth.
