Just peachy 🙂 I’m eyeball deep in English courses myself… the mountain of assigned reading, it never ends! Aaaaurgh! 😆

Yikes. Big crashes = something sales persons really don’t want to hear! At least she didn’t lose her cool and scream at you guys. That happened to my uncle once, he sat down in a wooden chair at a furniture store and it broke under him, and he is actually *underweight* for a man his size. So when the manager couldn’t blame his weight on the chair breaking he accused my uncle of “dropping into the chair with undue force,” and that was why the leg snapped off, and of course he was going to have to pay for it. But upon closer inspection, come to find out a screw was missing out of the chair and someone had tried to “fix” it with wood glue 🙄 So he got off the hook. He never went back to that store, anyway.

Me too 😆 It’s a catchy tune! I also have this bad habit of singing to my cats… they’re the only ones who don’t run from my singing… I think it boosts their ego to know that it’s directed at them 🙄

If this post hadn’t been made, I bet those 5 OWs would have hung around a while… 😉 Good for the factory! Bad for anyone who still wanted one and didn’t have $300 handy…I’m glad I got mine a while ago!
That’s what I was thinking. People see that and go 😮 “Oh noes! I have to get one right now!” And then they do 😆
Let’s just say that I attend a… very interesting college. We are the campus full of (mostly) laid back surfer dudes and dudettes, just without the beach. Though you could probably fill an ocean with the amount of alcohol consumed here every weekend… 😆
If people aren’t getting along for some reason the conversation generally turns into “It’s cool, man, it’s cool, just come over and party this weekend.” By Monday morning they’re best friends. So there are hardly any problems with prejudice of any kind. And we do have all kinds. International students from every corner of this planet, locals of all kinds of ethnicities, students of all ages and every orientation imaginable… It’s all good here 😆 And we have a blast.

😆 😆 😆 Nah- they were mostly behind glass but those that were out, smelled of incense.
And yes, money does change ppl. I was just hoping that it wouldnt have done that to someone who had such a good and loyal patron in me for so long, as well as sending ppl to her store in person too. Ya live ya learn; Im over it.
Maybe they needed more “incense” money! 😀
😆 😆 😆
SilverArrow wrote:Hey guys, random thought. Don’t you think that this color would look great on a coiled mother dragon? It would be a great gift for an expectant mother (or a rabid collector). And it would be one of the less expensive dragons. Just a thought. *hint, hint* 🙄
Aww, yes, that would be very sweet 🙂
DROGO wrote:DAMN VD! I love that BG emperor! (drools more!) 😀
Seconded! I wish mine had a nice home like yours does… *sigh* Maybe when I get my own place 😆
siberakh1 wrote:Arrrrr! Talk like a Pirate Day, Matey! HAHAHAHA!
Ahhh, I love college. How I miss it! A group of us used to randomly pick days to dress up in garb. We’d also randomly go out on the middle of campus (small campus on a hill) and ‘stick fight’ with bokken (campus security in the middle of nowhere doesn’t think of things like these… just wooden sticks and play things ), shinai, bo, jo, and long sticks. We kept our swords and knives home, though occassionally, a few of use would head up to the woods to our little practice place to practice with our throwing knives *whistles non-chalantly*
Gotta love it! Your day sounds like absolute fun! Gods I can’t wait until I can afford to hit grad school!
Ooh, that sounds like fun! I love to watch people practicing obscure sports/hobbies and things… We do have kendo players who practice on the quad, and on alternate Tuesdays there is a tightrope walking club that meets there. They string a special rope between these two big oak trees and practice for an hour or two. It’s a blast to watch, but you have to be quiet so you don’t break their concentration.
Dragon Master wrote:OK I KNOW I’M GOING TO GET YELLED AT FOR THIS!!
I always thought the Hatching Emperor and Empress where backwards. Females talk more so the Empress should have gotten the open mouth while the Emperor hatching should have had a totally bored look on his face
runs and hides behind my Emperor dragons😆 I won’t yell at you DM… that’s sure the truth in my family, at least!
DROGO wrote:darjeb wrote:The Grandio offer is 20% off orders over $100 and free shipping – only good on orders placed between 9/20 and 10/4
So it starts tomorrow, right? I went to their website and didn’t see a “sale”. How is their shipping? Is it safe? Do they double box etc?
They do. My dad gets all my Christmas dragons from them, and half the fun for my family on Chirstmas morning is laughing at dear Megan trying to reach her gift through the cardboard and peanuts and bubble wrap 😆
I say go for the curio. Then you can have fun arranging the Windstones you do have, and dreaming of where your future darlings will go 😉
purpledoggy wrote:I’m soooo sorry for not getting to update. I’ve been back and forth from work and the hospital. I usually have time to post while I’m at work but we have had so many calls that when I try to post something I have to stop in the middle of it which I hope doesn’t happen here too. Hubby is doing fine, they said his kidneys are doing better and his lungs are good. He will be in the hospital at least till next week. He is having issues with anxiet to the point that he will not let me leave his room, insists I spend the night every night I can, and will not get out of bed to go for walks which he needs to do. I tried being nice about it but now I’ve put my female dog face on. If he doesn’t get up and walk he will never come home and I can’t care for him in the condition he is in now. I haven’t had time to myself at all and he needs to realize I can’t keep up this pace he wants me to do. Again sorry for not posting I feel bad that so many of you worried about me 😳
*very much relieved* Oh, that’s awesome! …well, not that you are being run ragged, but that both you and your hubby are doing okay. Thanks for taking the time to check back in 😀 and by all means give him the nudge he needs to get out of bed… he will thank you for it later!
darjeb wrote:I hope Purpledoggy, hubby and baby are all OK but it is very worrisome that we haven’t heard from her usually she finds a minute to keep us posted on how things are going for her.
Yeah… 🙁
lamortefille wrote:Megani-chan wrote:lamortefille wrote:Wasn’t it you that had the other squirrel incident at college?
Yup 😳 I got jumped by one behind the science building last fall and it scared me to death 😆
I think those squirrels plans these “events” for their amusement! 😆
Me too!!! And to steal goldfish crackers. That’s the prize the one who jumped me got. The silly things have no fear, they’re more revered on this campus than the Profs are… 🙄
