Since I am now jobless, I didn’t pay a crazy amount for an ARC this year, so I too am stuck waiting for the 22nd. All the early reviewers seem to be really impressed though, so I am crazy excited. I cannot wait, it’s like a mini holiday. I get to harass and chase the Barnes and Noble people who do not put out the new books at opening quick enough, heh =D

Perfect Blood is good…but it’s one of those books that crop up every 4 or 5 books that is mostly moving everyone into a new story arc, and I think PB was helping set us up for the end. Kim posted on her blog that she is sending the 12th book to the publisher now. Sigh, I never want it to end! I do not like her YA series, and I will be high and dry on urban fantasy when the Hollows finishes…

I got my xmas card, and just like last year, it’s the best xmas card ever! Thank you so much Melody for doing this for all your adoring fans. When I get a few more I am going to frame them, they are just so original and lovely 🙂

So I managed to put a grab bag in my cart during the madness, twice, but never could get to paypal at the end. But…Susie found my order! /worships Susie

Here is my perfect baby! He’s one of my favorites, the reddish copper is a little pink on his face, but not much, so he’s lovely!
These are all indoor with flash; it’s rainy and icky outside. Of course these photos can be used for the grab bag directory, but I will try to take nicer outside ones when there is some sun.

in reply to: The new Supernatural Candycorn Grab Bag Baby Unicorns #889386

See the problem is it bounced out of my cart while trying to check out, but my time had not expired. I still had at least half the time on the cart timer left. If the store was working properly, this should NOT have happened. Period. I did not hit a back button. That is what frustrates me so much about my attempt/transaction.

Same here, Siber. I got to watch my cart timer tick minutes away while there was nothing left in my cart. That’s a special sort of torture 🙂

That was hell. I got one in my cart twice, got to the review order step, then the page refuses to load. The cart timer kept going, but nothing would show up in my cart when the page would finally reload. It was awful thinking I had one, TWICE, only to be disappointed. So yeah, we broke the store.

I imagine my foo pup making a range of sounds like a spoiled little Shiba: happy little wuffle and howl sounds, grunts and growls, and lots of whines and half-assed barks.

However, Foo Dogs probably have a range of vocalization like the ancient dog breeds. Link to New Guinea Singing Dog…singing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwxV1wbBrfU
    Foos probably sing too…

    /preemptive victory dance

Only three more essays to go in my master’s project. I’ve already finished 11 essays on professional competencies. God, I can’t believe how much writing I’ve done this last month and a half. And WOOT to victory anime, got the whole Gravitation series for 9bucks and shipping on ebay.
Less school + anime = HAPPY

ugh everyone in my family now thinks I am crazy because I have a book ghost or we need to change the locks on the house =P I’m crazy organized with my books, I have 5 6foot+ shelves holding my current collection, a closet bookshelf with children’s books I want to keep, and a desk built with more shelves for my reference and school books. I have two half shelves that hold books I own but haven’t read yet, and only those are in no real order. Everything else is very organized by my own crazy little system, which really is a system; I am like 10 weeks away from having my MLIS, I can do book organization =P
So yeah, I found a book today on one of my big shelves that I do not own and I have never read it. My non-bookish family thinks I’m crazy to be upset over “forgetting” about buying (and reading?!?!!?) a book, and I am of course entirely freaked out and pissed the family thinks I’m cracking a bit with this last school semester =P

….so anyone ever banish a book ghost?

in reply to: lavender pearl fledgies #887205

I got one, but the store front was a little wacky or else my computer was trying to trick me. When my page is loading, it shows the “add to cart” button but then it either changes to out of stock or then says the number in stock along with “add to cart”. It didn’t show the number in stock, so I thought my page was loading, but then the store let me put one in my cart. So try clicking add to cart anyway?

in reply to: lavender pearl fledgies #887200

I’m thinking technical issues, I won’t believe it until Susie posts and says there were only 6 or something like that in the store. There were under 100 people on the site, no way they went THAT quick. And it is fledgies! We all love em, no way they only put a few in the store, they know baby cutie fledgie faces are like crack.
